Uncle Mike's Black Kodra Nylon Sidekick Vertical Shoulder Holster

Size #4 is a perfect fit for my 7.5" S&W 460 revolver. I found the strap size adjustments easy to make and they stay secure. While the holster does not conceal the trigger (which I would prefer), when the flap is secured over the hammer with the snap closure, the hammer can not rise. The rig is comfortable to wear even with the huge revolver present in the holster. I wear the rig when deer and hog hunting and it stays in place even in nasty terrain. Not a concealed carry holster by any means (a S&W 460 is hardly a concealable firearm). The rig appears to be well made and should hold up for years of hard use. My experience with Uncle Mike's products is that they hold up well and are very durable. While this has nothing to do with the holster rig, don't forget your best hearing protection with the S&W 460.

This holster is utterly worthless. First off, it's much too large for the gun it's supposed to fit (S&W M&P 9). It's advertised as a shoulder holster, but the belt loop is way up on the side – which makes it basically a belt holster with a shoulder strap. So the end of the holster shows under a short jacket or coat. It's worthless for concealed carry except with a very l-on-g coat. Finally, the snap for the gun retention strap is so far around the side, I can't reach it with my gun hand. In order to release it, I have to pull back my coat and use my off hand. (And obviously, displaying your weapon to an adversary BEORE you can get it unsnapped and ready to draw could be fatal.

I purchased this one from Amazon as a previously used item, so I knew the packaging and overall condition may not be top notch. I was pleasantly surprised when I received the holster in more-or-less brand new condition. The holster itself seemed well built and the price was very good.However...when I seated my XD-45 Tactical (full-sized, double-stack .45ACP with 5" barrel for those of you who may not be familiar) the trigger was completely exposed. By itself, that may not be a problem, but the holster retention strap disengaged the grip safety. That means, if I were in the woods, traveling through thick brush or branches, a stray branch could catch the trigger and discharge the firearm. This is even with the pistol forceably seated as far into the holster as possible. This is decidedly unsafe, so I had to return the holster.The good news is that Amazon made the return very easy! It was a bummer that the holster did not work, but over all the transactions were fairly seamless.

Fits nice on me and my gun, very adjustable with anchor straps! This is one of the better shoulder rigs I've used. You will forget your 44mag brick is there!!! I fit both a S&W 629 Classic and a 329 NightGuard on and had no problems! Very comfortable, the poor reviews must be due to frustration with making the proper adjustments. The right side adjustment is difficult without help since you will have to keep taking it off and on. I agree it sucks if it's not properly adjusted, once you get it right you'll be pleased with this rig! If you're looking for something that multiple people would use you'll spend a lot of time adjusting it though. This is not a receive and wear rig, 10 minutes of making it fit perfectly and you're good though!

Had high hopes but it tore within my third use. the belt loop strap tore. If they were to redesign it by not sewing the nylon strap right at the end of the strap it would'nt have torn. it was also different from what was pictured. Nylon frays they should have melted the end of the belt strap then sewn it or at least double stitched it, it was way to close to the end to really get any strenght from the stitching. material seemed good just a bad design.

Nylon holsters are hit and miss with me and this one's not doing so great. First, it's difficult to adjust. Second, it flops around way too much and sometimes if your pistol is stuck in tight then you end up pulling out the holster too. A belt retention on the holster side would have solved this issue. Third, the holster is way too stiff. You can feel it jabbing into your underarm constantly and looks like a big box is growing out of your side when you've got a jacket on top. Fourth, the weapon retention snap does not facilitate a quick draw like a thumb break.Nylon is also incredibly noisy. Hard nylon even more so. But if you can overlook these issues then it makes a good, rugged shoulder holster. After all, it's half the price of most leather ones.

Uncle Mike's never disappoints it does what its supposed to and can accommodate multiple models of handguns in multiple barrel lengths. It's not leather so it's not going to be as comfortable but leather would cost at least $150.00 and are very firearm specific.

I carry a XDM .40 and this holster fits like a glove and comfortable to wear. I find it was not that difficult to adjust to get that perfect fit and sits at my side very comfortably. The material is a very strong well made product that appears I would not have to replace for many years and would fit various other guns as well. Kudo's on providing a product with both form and function for an affordable price.Cons: You must wear a coat or many people will give you funny looks :)

Fits a Taurus 66 6" .357mag revolver well. Fairly easy to adjust. A good economy holster.
