Pretty good, may mess up at first, keep testing
Got this a couple weeks ago in hopes of using it with retro consoles (specifically PS2, Wii). At first, I thought it was a dud. Just wouldn’t display video effectively, sometimes it would just for it to completely mess up again in the process of loading a game or simply restarting the console. But, somehow, a couple days later I decided to try it again and lo and behold; it works beautifully. Having played on high refresh rate low latency monitors before, I can hardly tell a difference between with and without the adapter. To my surprise, it has ran flawlessly ever since. Colors are beautiful and 100% better than any prior video via composite or s video ESPECIALLY for the price.

Works as advertised
I had a component video cable running to my projector in my home theater which I replaced with a wireless HDMI transmitter/receiver when I upgraded my equipment to HDMI. While the wireless HDMI worked, it took a while (sometimes over a minute) to initially synchronize, and seemed to get less reliable over time. So I switched to a HDMI to component converter on the equipment side and this component to HDMI on the projector side (because my projector is HDMI also. Works great.

It works, but you lose some video quality
I just bought a new Samsung TV QLED, 65QN72D series. I have two DVD/VHS combos: LiteOn and GoVideo. I hooked them up one at the time and played both DVDs and VHS tapes. They both worked, but there was noticeable reduction in video quality. But the alternative would be not to have anything at all, so it will work.

Terrible for 480p/i and Under
(The photos show the flickering effect that is always going on.) I bought this to use with my PS2, Wii, and VCR on my flatscreen TV. I plugged everything in correctly to my Wii at first just to see that there was a huge bar of flickering black horizontal lines at the top of the screen. I went into both the TV settings and the Wii settings to see if there was some sort of mistake that I was making but there was nothing I could do to stop the lines from flickering. I then tried with my PS2 to see if the flickering persisted and sure enough they did. However, out of curiosity, I did play GT4 on the PS2 to use the 1080i PS2 output to see if that would fix anything and surprisingly the lines were gone. So, to test more on the other end of the spectrum, I tried playing a PS1 disk with my PS2 to see if the converter would work and instead of seeing flickering on the screen, the entire screen was just black. I made sure to plug the consoles in directly to the TV with the standard connections to see if there was any flickering there and there wasn't, so it's just the converter box that isn't working the way it said that it would. So I got into contact with the customer service to see if they could send me a replacement since mine clearly didn't work. They said that they would get in contact with their superiors to fix the problem for me and I was fine with that. However, after almost 4 months with no response after that, it is not fine anymore. I'm just writing this so that potential future buyers can be aware that there's a possibility of getting a broken product with basically no support from the seller. TL;DR This doesn't work with 240p/i, works badly with 480p/i, but does work fine with 1080i/p. Also Customer Service never got back to me to fix or replace the broken converter.

We're able to watch DVD's again!
I received the product in excellent condition. I bought this converter because my new television set did not have composite inputs needed to hook up my DVD player. This little box was easy to hook up and it creates a clear picture and great sound from my DVD player. I know it is old technology, but so am I. I would recommend this for anyone who still likes to watch movies on DVD and doesn't have a television set that is compatible.
