excellent product
Great Buy. Typing is different than on my previous key board. Takes awhile to accommodate. Definitely worth the effort.

NOW DOWN TO FOUR STARS-Caps Light stopped working within two months.
I bought this wired "Macally Mac keyboard" through Amazon on Aug. 16, and received it on the 19th. I've been using it for 10 days now and am quite happy with it. I'm a fast typist, but this responsive keyboard keeps up with me. It has a quietly "clicky" feel, which I enjoy. Some reviewers mentioned that their boards did not have an indicator light to show when CAPS LOCK is on, but Macally must have fixed that. On my board, there are three indicator lights above the number pad, and the middle one lights whenever CAPS LOCK is on. The spacebar on my nine-year-old Apple keyboard started sticking recently and although cleaning helped, it did not solve the problem. I much prefer a wired keyboard and was disappointed, though not surprised, to discover Apple had stopped making them. I was delighted to find this Macally keyboard, which so far works every bit as well as my old Apple one. If you have a Mac and prefer a wired keyboard, I recommend this one, although please keep in mind that I have not been using it long.ADDED OCTOBER 13: I still like the keyboard overall, but I am extremely disappointed that the indicator light showing whether or not CAPS LOCK is on has stopped working, and I've only had the keyboard two months. This is obviously what other reviewers were complaining about. It does make difficulties. My computer is protected with a case-sensitive password, and there is no way to test to see if CAP LOCKS is on until I'm logged in (other than to have the password fail and use up one of my three attempts). Obviously this is manageable and I like everything else about the keyboard, but the CAP LOCKS indicator not working is problematic enough that I now feel the keyboard deserves only four stars, not five. Don't know yet whether the system will actually let me remove a star, but I'll try.

It has an easy plug and play functionality with the Mac system.
This item is simply the best replacement for my iMac original Keyboard, so much so that I bought it twice.

Replacing a defective Mac keyboard
Worked perfectly with my very old Mac. No problems, just plugged the keyboard in and worked fine. Service was fast and the keyboard well packed

Solidly Made
I'd been needing a new board for some time for my Mac mini. I'm tech challenged, wasn't sure what to get.Asked the guy who got my Mac up & running for me. Model he recommended looked nice but discovered it didn't have any ports on it. I'm a wired kind of guy, wanted a board I could plug my mouse into. Searched around and found this Macally model, perfect. Two ports on back and made of metal rather than cheap plastic, feels good and solid. Nice color contrast between the silver board and white keys with what appears to be gray lettering. Good service, received in just under a week after ordering.

UPDATED: Intermittent skipping!
**Edited to add:Keyboard has failed completely. It is "on." Or, at least the indicator says so. It had been working, mostly, until today. It has completely stopped recording keystrokes. Fortunately, I'm within my return time. Wow, is this a piece of junk.**At first, I was happy with this keyboard. I wanted a wired keyboard for my Mac because of Bluetooth connection issues. The fact that this one came with a port for my wired mouse was what sold me on this model. But wow, the letter-skipping issues are starting to really get to me. Even when I'm not typing fast, this baby skips! Now, imagine typing in passwords that come up as ****! I have to watch carefully as I type in each character to ensure I get a * for each one. Pain in the butt!! And, don't even get me started on how unreliable it is when I do type faster. Geez! I'm hoping that this is just "newness" that needs to be worked out. But if it hasn't improved by my "Return by" date, this baby is toast.

Not a Mac keyboard, keys don't always function on the first press
I suppose I should have paid more attention to the details in the pictures, but one would assume that something specified as a "Mac" keyboard would have the same keys in the same places as a Mac keyboard. That is not the case. The opertions keys (-, +, *, etc) at the numberpad are not the same, and Macally has added some useless "function" keys in and around the Control and Option keys on the lower row of the keyboard. What this means is that if you're used to using a Mac keyboard, then you're going to start having a LOT of errors in your keystrokes when working in spreadsheets, etc.I could take the time to re-train my fingers to use the different format, but some of the letter buttons on the keyboard do not always register the first time they are pressed, either. It's not a consistent thing, but sometimes I have to press some of the letters 3 times before they show up once in the document that I'm typing. I'm not using any less or more pressure than I ever use, but this pops up regularly and randomly. I don't know if the keyboard thinks it needs to go to sleep or something (and it shouldn't since it is wired), but it's annoying. Some of the function keys also do not do the jobs that they are supposed to. For example, F1 and F2 are labeled as being hotkeys to brighten/dim the screen. That's what Mac keyboards do. But when you press them, nothing happens. Other hotkeys on the F- keys in the top row are also in different places than on a Mac keyboard. It's not what it was advertised, and it sporadically doesn't function correctly. If you're looking for a Mac keyboard, stay away from Macally.
