Corrosion Technologies 50010 CorrosionX for Guns, 4 fl oz (118ml)

I use it on all the rifles that I work on. It’s one of the best CLP’s that I’ve used.

This stuff really works well. It smells kind of rank, but not so bad that I don’t use it on everything metal including my sidearms & long guns, door locks & hinges, knives, and my hand tools. Most recently I managed to save a crusty idler pulley on my old Benz with CorrosionX. I carefully placed several drops of this green elixir on the seam and allowed them to penetrate the small space between the pulley and the bearing overnight. I blew it out with compressed air. Then I did the same thing on the other side. Through both sides it seeped into the internals and displaced a lot of dirt and rust. After blowing it out I applied another few drops. This allowed it to spin freely and quietly, just like new. It’s been several weeks and the lubrication is holding up just fine. Less than a dozen drops more than paid for the whole bottle.

Rust proof / gleaming barrier/ excellent lubricant

This stuff works fantastic. Very simply, it cleans and lubes at the same time. Not much else to it. I clean my 1911, PPQ and SKS with this stuff. Any surfaces that are bare metal keep a very slick surface long after you get done cleaning. When cleaning, I soak all my parts in this stuff and let them sit a while, and when I wipe them clean, they look brand new, and even though I've wiped all the lubricant away, the metal stays noticeably slick. I normally check all my weapons to see if they need relubricated once a month or so, and this stuff doesn't require that. The longest I've gone without shooting after cleaning was about 60 days. The feed ramps on the pistols stayed slick as did the bolt on the SKS. Excellent stuff.

I bought this mainly because of a couple of reviews I watched online. I wanted something that was a little thicker than CLP and also protected a little better. I've been using this exclusively now and it protects great, lube stays in place just fine, and it last. I live in Wisconsin, it gets cold up here and I've never had an issue with it. The lube does not spray well from a bottle, no matter which bottle you get. I've tried multiple kinds of spray bottles and it's just to thick. If you need a spray version of this I suggest getting the aerosol version of it. As long as they don't change the formula I'll keep using it. Side note the only thing that makes this for guns is the bottle. Any of the stuff with the red label is the same lube.

So far it seems to do what it is meant to do. It doesn't appears wet after several days, as far as lubricant it is pretty good. I think there are slicker lubes out there like FP-10, but I bought it for corrosion resistance. I think it is safer on plastic and painted surfaces than Eezox because it comes in a plastic bottle. Eezox comes in a metal can and they discontinued it in the plastic bottle. The top 3 corrosion resistance products are Eezox, Corrosion X and CLP. I have all 3. I use this on my guns more than the rest, CLP would be second and Eezox third. If it is a all metal surface with no plastic or paint than it would be Eezox. All 3 are great products and you really can't go wrong with either one but Eezox I think is way to thin to be a good lubricant.

Does EXACTLY what it says it will. For a daily carry stainless 1911, it eliminates the formation of rust in the areas of skin contact. I applied a small amount to specific areas that had minor amounts of surface rust due to constant skin contact. Without removing the rust prior, and just wiping off the excess, one month later, still no rust! Also, it does not attract dust, nor become gummy as do some similar products. I definitely recommend for use with all firearms. 2-8-15 Several months later, daily carry weapon has had no recurrence of previous rust issues. I have only applied it 3 time since purchase and this weapon has skin contact while being carried. Everything removes the rust. So far, this is the ONLY product that has kept it away.
