I was skeptical but desperate. I am very clean conscious and have not dyed my hair in years. The gray was really bringing me down. So I figured I had nothing to lose. I read reviews and was like hmm green can’t be so bad 😂. So Here are the results! Wow! I am a new woman. My hair looks amazing. I mixed half the pouch with hot tap water mixed to a paste and slowly did chunks of hair and out extra on the real gray/ white areas. Waited 1 hour. I think maybe others have had bad results because I feel you need to make sure your hair is free of not “clean” products. I don’t use anything but clean vinegar sulfate free shampoo and conditioner. So maybe that’s why the color came through? I also did an organic nanoplasty right after and the color did not change. I highly recommend this product and will continue to buy it.

This stuff is completely terrible. I’m never using this again. I got it on sale for $10, thinking I found something great and I was wrong. I’d rather pay double for the stuff I normally use. 1) it’s so messy. I hated mixing it. There were so many bubbles where it was not fully mixed. It got everywhere as I was applying it. 2) once you get it in your hair, your hair does not move. The only way you can “make sure it’s coated evenly throughout” is by globbing on more and hope for the best. 3) I slept with it overnight for 6 hours make sure the color was very rich. Henna takes at least 3 hours. 4) It took forever to rinse out. It felt TERRIBLE in my hair. I could barely stand it and it did not color my scalp like henna normally would. What is this stuff? It was SO uncomfortable and it dripped out of the shower cap. I had to put towels around my neck. 5) it barely deposited any color and some of my hair is still brown instead of “blue black” that I ordered. Not worth it at all.

The smell is earthy, a little bit strong, but it does the job. It very easy to mix, just add lemon juice and water, mix and leave all night, then mix again and it is ready to use.

Did not cover my gray's in fact it turned them partially blue, product is not effective with coverage as stated I got Indio black no black whatsoever. Unfortunately will not be purchasing again

I like it. I do use it about once per week after showering, and I noticed it took 2-3 applications before it effectively covered the greys. I'd describe it as a maintenance hair color. It's cheap and 1 box has lasted me over 7 months. Doesn't stain skin and I don't wear gloves

This is fantastic!. I've been using this kind of product for almost 2 years. It doesn't turn green and you just have to wash and condition well. I love that it's organic and doesn't hurt the skin or hair.

Realistically, I would say it is about a 3.5-- I prefer natural things over chemical, any day, so I thought I would give it a try. It does darken hair pretty well, yes. But it does also wash out a little too easily, on its own, so you do have to be mindful. In my experience, thus far, it is best used when mixed with either a "dark" (or at least green) tea, or coffee, as it reaches a better darker shade, that way. But when blending it for application, I do also strongly advise blending it (literally) hot; make sure the water/coffee/tea is hot when mixing it, since heat obviously helps to dissolve and absorb faster. Furthermore, I do not and would not leave it applied for the allotted time; I would say easily twice as long (between 1 and 2 hours, for better result). But obviously, as with any hair colour, make sure your head/scalp is covered to keep the moisture in, for it to do its job.

I purchased the Indus Valley Bio Organic Natural Henna Powder for my mom because I like the idea that it is a natural and non-toxic product. It’s nice to find a hair coloring option that avoids harsh chemicals. However, we noticed that it did not cover her white hair roots as well as we expected. While the product may work for conditioning or adding a slight tint, it didn’t provide the gray coverage we were hoping for. Because of this, I probably wouldn’t purchase it again for gray coverage.
