Highly recommend!!
Very easy to assemble. However I do have one warning about this fire pit. Do not use magic fire packets as the plastic will melt and crack your mesh. So that was something that we did wrong but the fire pit itself was amazing. I've already ordered a replacement mesh. The heat output and the overall size of the fire that you can make with this thing is just fantastic. The carrying case makes it super easy to move around and pack back up. I also got the heat shield addition and it worked exactly as it's supposed to the ground underneath the fire was completely unharmed. There was quite a bit of grass around the fire pit but we didn't have a single problem with embers coming out or underneath the fire scorching the ground . Highly recommend!!

Great Product
this thing is awesome. packs up nice and neat in a bag. great for car camping. we put a good amount of logs on this thing and had a ripping fire and absolutely no problems. very sturdy and light, easy setup and take down. there was absolutely no trace of a fire after 2 nights of use if you let in burn out properly (don't pour water on it) . there was very little ash/dust in the morning. havent cooked on it yet. I want to order extra screen mesh screens to have just in case this company goes bellyup for some reason. those I assume would eventually fail after lots of use.

Must have / must buy
It’s awesome. Easy to set up. Easy to carry around. It’s obviously for dispersed camping to be safe when having a fire. We have taken it to people house for a cook out or just a get to gather and set it up and had a fire at night. People love it and could believe it. Such a good product to have.

Replacement Shield Sent, Great Customer Service,
Updated Review August 2020 & 3 updated pics : Mike from the help team was kind enough to reach out to me after my original review, which was much appreciated. He said that they were happy to send out a new heat shield and cancelled my order that was in, so it was free of charge. Moreover, he said older instructions had lead this happening to others as well and as they stand by their product they were happy to replace for me or anyone else experiencing this issue. I have to say though, the new instructions are nearly identical looking to the old ones (I forgot to snap a pic). It recommends leaving 3 inches between the shield and the pit...this is exactly what I did before. This time I left about 5 inches and so far so good. I’ve only used it twice more with the new one, so time will tell how this goes. I honestly feel like the product is solid and the customer service was gold, i just wish the issue of where to place the heat shield exactly to prevent degeneration wasn’t so pesky. If there was a marking or a notch that came on the legs where to do this or a hook for straps this would be a non-issue and then no guess work or need for measuring tape. They provide these little stickers that you can slap on for guides, but the customer would have to be the one doing it and get out their measuring tape to decide where to place- it’s an easy product improvement that could be made for future pits. Right now I’m pretty dang happy though 🙂. We had some s’mores, chili and a hot dog cook out using the tray attachments. If this holds up well through the year I’ll be kicking the score up to 5 for sure. I just want to see how enduring this neat lil lightweight pit is. I would recommend to renters, especially if you don’t have the space or permission to do an in ground pit; if you are sick of metal pits that rust out quick even though they look cool at first, or if you are avid campers. Thank you again to Mike and the company for quick, attentive and kind service. First Review from July 2020 (1star): I’d love to give this 5 stars, but as the heat shield fell apart after only 3 uses, I’m pretty upset. I didn’t get around to using it last year, unfortunately, so this review is late. The whole reason I got this fire pit was for the heat shield, so with that not working I can’t give it more than 1 star (see photo). It’s easy to put together, lightweight. The mesh screen that holds the wood although discolored seems to be holding up (see pic). I can’t speak to sturdiness of grill grates that I purchased in addition to go with because I haven’t had the chance to use yet, but the frame seems pretty solid. The first time I used it I thought the heat shield was awesome, I put my hand below it safely and it didn’t brown my grass! That said, this will be completely worthless if I have to pay out for a heat shield every 3 uses - it burned apart on both sides....and yes I read the safety warning and followed instructions to the letter on set up, it’s very self explanatory (I also attached that image) I’m an apartment renter and our backyard grass is communal and needs to be kept nice and green and we can’t set up a permanent pit. If I get through to the manufacturer and a new free heat shield comes my way that holds up, I’ll be happy to re-review. I want to love this product and was so excited up until I just went to break it down....and right before the 4th of July holiday 😕.

Fantastic!
This Pop Up Fire Pit is great! Lightweight. Takes about 90 seconds to setup and less to take down. Burns nice dry hardwood split down to about calf-size light and bright and almost smokeless! I'm afraid its useless if you want to go to bed wreaking of dank, foul smoldery smoke all smudged with black ash. No way. But if you want a super portable "firebowl" that won't leave burn scars and heaps of black ash that sets up in less than 2 minutes and sit by a light and bright fire that throws nice warmth then this is what you're looking for. It's made of lightweight aluminum and the high tech screen that holds the burning wood allows excellent airflow up through the fire, which is why it burns so clean. Everything fit perfect and the heat shield that goes a few inches below the coal screen does an amazing job reflecting heat up and protecting whatever surface the fire pit is sitting on. I'm not sure I'd trust it on a deck without some larger coal/spark protection - but the small weeds growing under our first 3-hour fire didn't even droop or wilt. The company deserves special mention for service. When I disassembled the fire pit after our first fire I found that the stitching on one edge of the heat shield had missed and the folded edge of heat shield was pulling away from the body of the heat shield. It hadn't melted or been affected by the heat at all - it was just quality control - bad stitching. I contacted the seller and they immediately sent a new heat shield, no questions asked. I received it in 4 days. They responded to my email in less than 24 hours. This is not the right fire pit if you want to burn mouse-eaten, rain soaked sofa arms and water-logged swamp stumps. You can't just huck a 25 lb unsplit half-rotten waist-sized round into the thing from 10 feet away. It's not a burn pile/bonfire. It's a portable, clean burning, heat throwing firebowl that will provide beautiful firelight and warmth in exchange for the tiniest bit of care in firebuilding and feeding. I live in VT and we heat our house with two woodstoves. I've probably forgotten more about burning firewood than most people will ever know. Build a nice fire with decent wood and you and your friends and family will enjoy this fire bowl many nice evenings!

Best product I've purchased so far
Super easy to assemble. Good quality materials and manufacturing. Functional design, with promise of well burned ashes. The screen mesh gives good air flow allowing wood to burn hotter and more consistently. Heat shield prevented fire from scorching concrete under the pit. The frame is not only light weight for easy transport, it's also rust proof. Also to mention, it cools off quick after use. Thank goodness I have a garden that discarding ashes is simple. Best product I've purchased and it came timely now because of stay at home orders, we can enjoy sitting around a fire, sipping hot cocoa, making smores or perhaps, a night cap all in the comfort of my home. Although, I just realized, I think my kit was supposed to include a carry case, and mine didn't. Update: 11/18/2020 Yes, my kit came with a carry case. Plenty of room for pit parts including heat shield. Also, we installed the heat shield too close to the screen without reading the assembly instructions. The heat shield deflected the fire heat but it's backing began to melt. Word from the wise, lower the shield.
