perfect!!!! Exactly what I wanted, nothing too fancy, just a tea kettle that does the job without the high price. Water heats up fast, even on flat-top electric stove. Loove the whistling makes boiling water fun...

This is a great little tea kettle. Made from stainless steel, light and works very well. My water heats up fast. My mom liked it so much that she started drinking tea again.

I took one star away because the inside of this kettle was filthy with some kind of black manufacturing black sooty residue. Hopefully your hand is not so large it cannot fit into the top opening because you WILL have to get in this kettle to clean it by hand. I discovered it when I had to return my first purchase because the whistle did not work. Well, it was still wet (on the inside) so before packing it, I took some paper towels to dry out the inside and the paper towels came back covered with this black stuff! I did rinse it out before using it but, that's is not adequate to remove this black soot. You also don't see the residue just looking down into the kettle. My replacement kettle had the same thing and it took some time and multiple hand washings to remove all the dirt/residue. Other than this caution, the kettle is quite beautiful and I like the wide base which works well.

Works as expected. Whistles when its hot/ready. My children love when I use it to make tea at night,they like hearing it whistle.

and there's a whistle...! I use a heat diffuser on an electric stove top and only turn to one up from medium heat. you can hear the water roiling through the thin metal construction... so don't really want to wait for the little whistle. (and there may not be enough energy produced on a slow combustion stove for the whistling... only on gas or electric -- instructions say.) for about $10 -- very good deal! thanks!!

Mr Coffee tea kettle... It seemed dirty inside and I thought at first it was from the manufacturing process. But in washing and SCRUBBING it I wondered more if it had been used because it seemed more like mineral deposits on the inside. Additionally it had 2 adhesive stickers on the outside, adhesive was very difficult to remove and then I noticed there was a small dent that one of the stickers might have obscured. So I wasn't happy. I had already scrubbed the inside and didn't feel like bothering with a return. I imagine it works well but based on my own experience I would not recommend.

I use this often and it rarely whistles. I hear the water boiling before any whistle happens.

When the water boils it starts to whistle but the steam come out the side of the whistle also so doesn't whistle all the way. The handle gets hot so you need to use some sort of towel or mitt when pouring.

Hoy me llegó la tetera [falta la prueba del tiempo] y es de un color rojo muy bonito, tenía un ligero rayón; sin embargo, cumple con su función. Calienta el agua un poco más rápido que una olla, hace el silbido que me recuerda a la tetera de mi abuela y mantiene el agua caliente por un rato. La recomiendo, es una de las teteras que al leer la reseña de otros usuarios vi que tenía pocas opiniones negativas. Es el primer día que la uso y la verdad me pareció buena.
