Is the design printed onto the canvas to stitch over it, or do you have to follow an instruction chart?

This is a counted cross stitch kit and not printed. I love this one and am still working on it. The black fabric does make it a bit difficult to work on, but I have a light that i shine through the fabric from the back which makes the holes in the fabric easier to see.

What kind of frame can I use for a 11*12 inch work, ?

You will need to get a custom size frame for this piece. However, if you wish to go larger than the 11*12 size, you can you a black, dark red, or green matting. This will make for a larger framed piece, but might be less expensive in the long run than purchasing a custom frame.

I am just finishing the " Bundle of Joy "counted cross stitch and am running out of a lot of the colors. What do I do now?

I have only run short on one kit (out of many) and I contacted the mfg. and they shipped me additional thread. You can contact their customer service at http://www.dimensions-crafts.com or you can try and cross reference to another brand and purchase, however if you try to cross reference, take any pieces you have to try to match.

Great Dimensions kit. I had to change the black Aida as my eye sight can't cope with it. The pattern is very clear and comes with pre-sorted threads.

A black canvas is included

As mentioned above a black canvas is including which isn't good for anyone sewing with bad eye sight, people are advised to get a lighter one to see the stitches! Otherwise a good kit, apart from the black canvas.

I am currently putting the finishing touches on this piece. I love the design, the quality of the instruction diagram, and the use of colors. Once done, this will be a Christmas gift, framed, for my toddler granddaughter who loves cats.

aber so toll habe ich es noch nie gesehen (Bücher haben Titel!). Mal sehen ob das Sticken auch so ein Ergebnis bringt wie auf dem Bild. Ich kenne das Motiv mindestens 20 Jahre oder länger - auf Gobelin - als Kissen, Windschutzrolle oder Bild. Bin gespannt wie sich der schwarze Stoff auf die Augen auswirkt. Ich habe bisher immer auf beige/weiss gestickt. Die Stick-Schrift (Zeichnung) ist in s/w gedruckt. Die einzelnen Stilstiche sind in blau/rot mit gedruckt auf einem Bogen. Das wird schön knifflig - und man muss genau hinsehen. Nachtrag v. 20.5.2020: Wie konnte ich nur??? Das Bild ist sehr anstrengend zu sticken. Der schwarze Stoff nervt. Nie wieder - zukünftig immer beige! Ich bin im oberen Bereich bis zum gelben Buch gekommen. Trotz Stickens im hellen Tageslicht - ob ich vielleicht das Bild von der Verpackung in einen Rahmen gebe? Merkt man das?!
