ROWENTA PERFECT STEAM DG8520F0

I purchased the DG8520 about 3 weeks ago. I have used it every day, and it has worked perfectly! I owned a Rowenta DG980 for 5 years, and used it every single day, as well. The DG8520 has an on/off switch (unlike some other current models) and has a removable water tank. The water pump cycles more frequently than the DG980, but it isn't quite as loud and there is no interruption in steam output. (The DG980 would periodically stop producing steam for about 20 seconds while it waited for water to pump into the boiler and heat.) The sole plate design of the DG8520 also allows greater steam output than the DG980. I hope it lasts as long as the previous model. So far, it's great!

We have used the Rowenta steamers for years. My mother first purchased one about 25 years ago and with each new iteration the iron improves. this model has a removable water tank along with the usual features. This is my 2nd version of this iron. I particularly like that the iron is lighter that it would be if it held the water and I like the ability to refill the tank and keep ironing. This is something I cannot live without!

Love it, works really well. Didn’t like the smell at first , but that goes away after a few uses

Replaced my old Rowenta iron of 5 years and wanted one with a tank to help steam laundry and my quilting projects. This works great it came super quick, has very little noise, steam is powerful and heats fast. Very easy to use. Only watch the grey cord and tank they get a little hot, so careful on placement but otherwise love it! Makes laundry much easier and faster.

Really love this iron. A little bit heavier than a regular iron but so good with the steam. Only one I would want.

So fat so good...loved the steam iron i had before so good was a hard switch...but i love this iron. .very light..excellent steam delivery. .an excellent item for someone who appreciates their dress shirts being hand washed and ironed without sending them out.

Horrible performance. Item returned in the original box in the original condition. Returned the item after the approval was received. Credit was issued only 55% . Price paid $400.00 whereas credit was issued for $179.00 which is 45% of the price paid with a reason original packing materials wasn't used. There was no complaint about the condition. Original pacing was styrofoam which was molded to the shape of Iron/Steamer. I used the styrofoam which was in a different shape as there was difficult in closing the box.. Even though you received in good condition you have deducted $220/- which is nothing but outrageous approach of making easy money. I humbly request you to issue the credit for $220/-Immediately. Otherwise I may have to expore all the avenue available for recovery erc.

Yo tenía una Polti que compré en el año 2000 y me había salido muy buena, pero se me cayó y se hizo añicos. Compré ésta porque una amiga me dijo que le encantaba el sistema de relleno continuado de Rowenta y de todos los modelos, éste me pareció el de mejor relación calidad-precio y con valoraciones muy altas por parte de otros consumidores. Estoy encantada; en dos minutos está lista para ser usada, plancha muy bien, es rápida, el sistema de relleno continuado es muy cómodo y la varilla para limpiar la cal un gran invento. Muy fácil de usar, los botones y luces justas. Cuidado: La varilla de cal debe estar fuertemente cerrada porque si no la plancha pierde vapor y te empapa la ropa.

I had it when I lived in the US and bought the same one when I moved to the UK. Best iron machine ever!

Ever since I moved to Europe, I noticed that I could never find a good iron like the ones in the states. Any €20 iron in the states always seemed to work extremely well, whereas, in Europe I paid over €100 and it was crap. Well, after spending that much I thought I'd be stuck with a crap iron, until we returned from our honeymoon and our iron would not turn on. I immediately began researching irons and remembered that every Rowenta I had ever tried had always been great. I finally decided on this one and it is great! Finally, a great iron in Europe! It has hundreds of steam holes which make a huge difference. With my other steam-generating iron, there was a valve that would lock while the water was still hot. It would take hours to cool down before you could open it. With This Rowenta, on the other hand, you don't have this problem at all. The water receptacle is removeable and you can fill it up at the sink. You can also just pour water into it directly while it's still attached. I also keep the steam-generating part on the floor but the iron on the board. The cord is plenty long enough for you to iron comfortably like this. It gets most wrinkles out, but not all of them in some shirts. I do think that the hard water here has something to do with it. I notice that many shirts are ironed perfectly, while a a select few, which also seem to be made of cotton that wrinkles more, tend to leave a few faint signs of where the wrinkle was. These select shirt are also my husband's better Italian-made shirts, which have always been hard to iron. When my iron broke, I took two shirts to the dry cleaners just to be ironed, and even with their equipment, they came out the same. Therefore, I think this Rowenta iron works just as well as any professional equipment.

Ho aspettato 3 mesi di utilizzo per scrivere una recensione veritiera è oggettiva su questo ferro da stiro. È una bomba! Nel senso buono del termine. Ho provato tanti prodotti per stirare al meglio e più velocemente ma credetemi questo supera tutte le mie aspettative! Il precedente de Longhi mi innervosiva, colava acqua gialla durante la stiratura e se la aggiungevo durante la stiratura era peggio ancora. Questo roventa non mi ha mai dato problemi del genere, si riscalda in 1 minuto e aggiungendo l’acqua nella caldaia durante l’accensione posso ricominciare a stirare simultaneamente. Stirare è diventato quasi “rilassante”. Stiro pile di vestiti in pochissimo tempo perché risultano perfette al primo passaggio. Getto di vapore ottimo anche in modalità eco, vaschetta per l’acqua capiente è facile da riempire. Leggerò da maneggiare è facile da pulire. Sciacquo la vaschetta della caldaia ogni mese liberandolo da residui di calcare per garantirne il mantenimento per una vita duratura. Lo consiglio vivamente a tutte le donne che come me avevamo perso speranza! È vero... Rowenta è per chi non si accontenta!
