I started using these dental chews about a year ago at my vet’s recommendation. I was previously using a cheaper brand, but I don’t think they did much. These dental chews actually work. My older dog (7) was having some minor dental concerns creep up, but as of now my vet says his teeth are in excellent shape for his age. Using the chews helped to clean his teeth! Both of my dogs absolutely love these chews, I don’t know what the flavor is but they looove the taste! I don’t love that each chew is individually wrapped in plastic but I can get over it for my dog’s happiness and dental health. Also, I have noticed that their poo sometimes has a green tinge to it now which I have to assume is from the chews - but since they show no signs of stomach issues or other upset, and the vet says they’re healthy, I am not worried about it. The chews are a light green color, firm but chewy texture (not a plastic-y type of texture like some other brands). Great product!

Oravet is the only dental treat that doesn't give my dog any digestive problems and was recommended to us by our vet. Our dog used to get nausea and would throw up dental treats from other well-known brands because he couldn't digest it for some reason. We tried many times with other brands and would get the same reaction from our dog. Since switching to Oravet, it's tasty, easy to digest, and keeps his teeth healthy. He always looks forward to his daily Oravet.

My dogs love these. It takes them a little while to chew them up, so I feel like they are getting a better cleaning on their teeth.

My vet recommended this and my pup loves it, so that is great! Hopefully my puppy’s teeth will be healthy forever. Be aware that if you feed this to your dog, his or her poop will turn green, but that is only an oddity, not a real problem

Honestly, I don’t even know if there is a better product out there because I’ve used these for so long and they’ve done such a good job, I have no reason to look for anything to replace them. My dogs are obsessed with these and yes, they will riot if we don’t give them their dental chew every single night before bed. I have a 16 yr old minpin chihuahua and a 4 yr old German Shepard/Pittie mix. The 4yr old has never had to have a dental cleaning at the vet because we’ve started her on these chews from day 1. Our 16 yr old has been having annual dental cleanings for years but her vet recommended these when they first came out 10 years ago, and I think they are a huge reason why she has nearly all of her teeth still. She refuses to let me brush her teeth, but she goes feral for these dental chews lol. Pleasant side note, the chews smell just like brownie batter. It’s uncanny. Anyways, I recommend these to every dog owner I know. Expensive? Not really when considering how costly dental cleaning and tooth extractions are. Plus, our dogs effing LOVE them. They are a true treat in every sense of the word.

Recommended by our veterinarian in lieu of other products out there that state they will help with tartar buildup, help with bad breath, etc in lieu of other options found in box stores that can also crack teeth, cause gum irritation or bleeding if excessively chewed on even under supervision. Great alternative to yak cheese (unless the softer option which in turn do not last long ) and deer antlers that can splinter or potentially crack a tooth. If possible still brush as these aren’t a full preventive or best option tor dental care. Please note that in agreement with other reviews this product can cause a mild upset stomach so try putting pumpkin on it or give a small amount before or after. Lastly do not worry when you see stool samples that day or the next come out the color of… Saint Patrick’s Day…yes it will be green.
