Excellent support
I purchased this to be a QR scanner via bluetooth to work with our ipad based EPOSnow system and its Loyalty.dog reward integration. I ran into issues when scanning the QR code where the output was off by a few characters. I reached out to support by email, they responded within 24 hours and really put in a lot of time and effort to help me figure out what was going on. In the end they recommended that I scan the barcode to confirm that I am in UK english as when they tested my QR code it seemed that it was using the Russian setting. Everything is working nicely, it has been a good support experience and so far the scanner works really well, we purchased this to replace a really expensive Socket mobile scanner. This one is much better in my opinion.

Decent cheep scanner
Does what it says on the tin. Works ok and battery life seems ok. Only used a couple of times a day to scan QR codes into devices and reprogram them. Work ok via Bluetooth and directly via cable and charges ok.

Does what it says on the tin
I will keep this short and to the point. I shall also try and find the time as do a video review so it can be seen in action. Plug and play = it sure is after a very quick automatic install of drivers. Works effortlessly via both cable and Bluetooth. Works on PC/laptop and my Android 5.0 mobile/cell phone. It wasn't so keen on reading barcodes and QR codes off my mobile phone screen but it managed no problems reading off my PC screen. not that I'll ever use that ability. I found it a nice comfortable grip in the hand with a nice lightweight yet robust feel to it. Nice and easy to use trigger. Changing settings is quick and easy and done using barcodes. A quick Start guide included provides some of the main settings whilst an easy to find full guide can be found online for the rest. I'm actually saying I'd give it a 4.5 rating as there is some really minor things that I would change if given the chance but they are just purely personal preference things and maybe not worth the mentioning?

Well built USB or Bluetooth Scanner
The Netum NT-1228BL barcode scanner does just as the description says - scans most barcodes easily and connects to USB and Bluetooth sources to do so. In the box you get the scanner, a small manual, a USB cable (A-B) and a generic USB Bluetooth dongle labelled as a CSR 4.0. I haven't tested the dongle as all devices that I have come with a built in Bluetooth chip these days, but have used this model in the past with no real issues. The supplied USB cable is about 1m long and comes with a moulded block on the scanner end, so it fits in neatly. Longer A-B cables could be used though as the actual connection is standard USB. In use, the scanner is supposed to come pre-configured for plug and play use. Powering up the scanner when connected to a computer via USB installs a virtual bluetooth com port and the scanner emulates a keyboard. Powering up without it being connected to USB puts the scanner into Bluetooth pairing mode and it can be seen by the computer/phone as NETUM Bluetooth. The connection is easy to make and worked on both my WIndows 10 PC, Linux PC and Android Phone. Once connected it should be as simple as scan the barcode when the cursor is in a text entry field (like a notepad document etc.). For me though, I got the scan beep from the scanner but nothing was sent to the computer or phone. I had to scan the factory reset sequence in the manual before it worked (not a major inconvenience but it did mean it was not PnP). There is also another configuration step that should be done - scanning the UK keyboard barcode, as the factory setting is for a US keyboard. If probably won't matter either way for most uses, but there is a possibility of scanning errors, so worth the few seconds to scan this code. There is one other option you can use and that is store mode, where the scanner stores the codes and needs a code scanning to release them from the internal buffer to the computer. I suspect my scanner came with this mode configured rather than the normal mode. Overall scan speed and accuracy has been excellent with both 'old fashioned' barcodes and newer 2D/QR codes. It scans quickly and I have yet to have a bad scan (once reset and configured). The scanner has also scanned successfully from laptop and mobile phone screens, unlike many other cheap scanners I have used in the past. It is possible to download a more comprehensive configuration manual from the gzxlscan (manufacturers listed in the manual) but its version is older than the more basic one supplied in the box. I haven't needed to scan any configuration settings except those in the supplied manual though but it is nice to have these options available (especially settings like power save time out and beep control).

Wasted a morning trying to get it working.
Returned as it would not scan on either of my laptops with win10 and win11. Access to the web page shown on the enclosed leaflet was blocked by Norton. Why no customer support?

Bluetooth woes!
Not too bad, but disconnects from Bluetooth frequently. I've also had it not reconnect via Bluetooth automatically and it had to be removed from my devices and then re added. Otherwise it scans quickly and seems to work reliably.

So pleased, I bought a second one
In short: The scanner works, fits in with my workflow and has a decent price. I had been looking for a 2D scanner for a while for setting up an inventory system. I was specifically interested in Datamatrix and PDF codes. Ultimate, I decided on the NETUM NT-1228BL based on the information provided. The box contained the barcode scanner, a USB cable to charge it and connect it to a computer, a USB Bluetooth adapter and a leaflet with command codes (e.g. to switch to a different country keyboard, beeps, etc.). Setup was easy and the scanner paired easily with my computers, identifying as a keyboard. I have been testing it with plenty of different barcodes and am very pleased with it. I am using Brother label printers with the smallest Datamatrix code on them and it reads them flawlessly! Same thing with rectangular Datamatrix codes. I have been using the scanner now for a while and it is still on its first charge. If there is one thing I could change: I haven't figured out how to modify the time until it goes to sleep as I think it could be a little bit longer. Waking the scanner up involves pulling the trigger and waiting for a few seconds until the connection is re-established (always was successful on the first attempt). The scanner works, fits in with my workflow and has a decent price. Hence, I bought a second one for a separate location.
