Great for closing floor gaps!
Pros: Great suction, easy to use, affordable, comes with covers to keep cups clean. Cons: I have found none yet. Advice: Clean surface before use, keep suction cups clean, keep cups covered and maybe stored in box. I had a few gaps in my Pergo flooring due to an uneven subfloor. After scratching my head over this unsightly problem and doing a little research, I discovered this little magic solution. After pulling this out of the box, I was surprised at how decent of a size the suction cups were. This would be very beneficial to it's task: grab onto things and don't let go! It comes with two plastic covers that would help keep the suction cups clean, a must for good suction. I'm storing mine in the box just to make sure it stays clean. Place the two suction cups on a clean surface and slightly push down on the two levers - this took very minimum effort. Double-check your adhesion to the surface by moving the handle around and you should be good to go! For my flooring situation, I stuck the handle down on to the edge of one of the boards (running perpendicular to the board). Gave the edge of the handle a few whacks with a rubber mallet so as to not crack the handle and watch those boards close right up! Make sure your boards are clean so you get good suction. I had little circles left over where the suction cups were but they rubbed right out in a jiffy. Problem solved, thank you Handle On Demand! I could see this being very useful for moving glass and other large items with clean surfaces.

Good tool, ONE potentially dangerous caveat
It works well. My only complaint is that there are no mechanisms to lock the vacuum-engaging levers, so they can potentially pop back up if they're not held in place, causing the cups to lose their suction. Luckily my hands are big enough that I can hold both levers down easily enough, but others might have a harder time; and since the tool doesn't point out anywhere that these levers should be held down, the user likely won't do so until they discover it's necessary. If they happen to make that discovery while using the tool to carry a piece of furniture or a file cabinet or a piece of glass (all examples from the pictures on the box -- in which the people using the tool are not holding those levers with their hands, by the way), the results could be ugly.

Excellent low-priced suction cup lifter tool...
FastCap HOD-DOUBLE Handle On Demand Our deck has a 1.5" thick, 32" square clear acrylic floor panel that is flush with the decking. That panel lets light through to the basement window below it. To remove that heavy panel for periodic cleaning, I bought two of these HODs. Handle On Demand is actually a pretty good name, because they made lifting the 50 lb. acrylic (plastic) utterly simple. The rubber suction pads left no marks, even on something as scratch-prone as plastic. Each HOD comes in a study cardboard box that can be used to store it when not in use and to keep the tool clean. For the first time, my wife can safely lift the glass table-tops from our living room tables so she can clean underneath. Things to consider: - If you're frequently moving things such as big pieces of plate glass, consider buying professional grade vacuum cups, as they typically have greater capacity than this tool. E.g., do a Google Shopping search on: vacuum cup - This type of vacuum cup tool is designed to lift things with a flat surface. If lifting curved items, such as a car windshield, this isn't the right tool. For examples of the type of tool to use in that case, Google Shopping search on: double swivel vacuum cups - This is the least expensive lifting tool of this type you're likely to find. I.e., professional versions of this tool have much stronger aluminum handles, but are significantly more costly. To see more expensive lifters, search Amazon on: double vacuum cup If you don't need a heavy-duty lifter, these sturdy HODs are a terrific bargain and work very well.

could be a great product
The idea is excellent. the function is fair. the cups are not always reliable tho. The rubber cups were somewhat distorted in manufacturing and one cup of the four ( I bought two HOD's) was always loosing air. thus I couldn't be sure I had a secure grip. once I figured this out I was able to compensate so i didn't drop a mirror. I think the QC at the factory could do a better job of inspecting the smoothness and uniformity of the rubber before assembly.

This is a very useful tool! I actually bought TWO of them in order to make lifting large items easier for two people. Great for an extra safety handle in the shower or tub if someone needs it. I have a stubborn casement window at home that is difficult to fully close, and this makes it super-easy. A very versatile and handy tool to have!

Did what I needed with moving laminate floor (gap was too tight and slightly peaking) I was hitting it with a 3 lb dead blow hammer with a lot of force held up perfectly.

I have not used this much yet but I tried it on several of my laminate floor gaps and I was only successful on moving two. It is not as easy as one would think or people say.
