Review: Sturdy, Assembly not for the Faint of Heart - This desk is cute and seems like it will functionally serve my purposes for a sewing and occasional work desk. However, the assembly was TERRIBLE. As someone that generally scoffs at the suggested number of people and time required to assemble furniture, I was optimistic I could handle this without considerable difficulty. I was able to construct it mostly alone, but it took every single bit of 5+ hours. The instructions weren’t clear, I had to disassemble and reassemble multiple parts when I realized I hadn’t done a step correctly. The pieces were placed in a nonsensical order in the box such that you had pull everything out to find the hardware. Then you must sort through all the pieces 4 separate times to find the numbered piece you’re looking for. Now that it’s complete, I find that it’s a sturdy piece. After the effort required to put it together it should be. Review: Not a good value for the money - This is not quality furniture. It is made with low grade materials and poorly designed. This product will not withstand even moderate use over time. The top is not one solid piece. It is two pieces. If you are laying out thin materials our paper on the work surface, you have a seam to contend with. The two top pieces do not have the grain aligned. The assemble took longer than suggested as the parts were not all labeled. The package was missing two shelves, and we are still waiting for those to be shipped. A divider in the top draw is only held in place by one side, so the other side moves around.
