Bought this to replace a male connector for a generator cable. Great build quality. Easy to install each cable wire. Good clamping and fits well into a transfer box!

Exactly what I needed for my generator to be hooked up to my panels in the house. Easy to wire and instructions are perfectly clear.

Purchased Reliance connectors (after much research) to build a 50A cable (25'-6 AWG-SOOW) for new 14KW generator. Came with instructions and was fairly simple to attach, aside from stiffness of 6AWG wires in cable taking a while to form into slots. Wire slots Color coded matching cable wires (in my case) ensuring both ends match. Locking assembly to secure cable to connector good feature, the connectors have two-part held together with Scews and really like the round cable hole with rubber-seal for weather-resistant. Some connectors don't have this and the round cable does not fit weil in them. I recommend these Reliance connectors!

Built a 30 to 50 cord for my generator. I did notice the strain relief hinge pins are plastic and will easily break so minus one star. Once back cover is on its fine though. Works well.

I have purchased these plugs before and they are perfect for my use and are a much more reasonable price here than I can get them locally. So the 5 stars are for the product themselves. What my problem is and this has happened on every order I have made for these types of connectors or Cam-Lock style connectors is I never seem to get the correct number of the correct type. These have two model numbers LL550C Reliance Controls LL550C 50 Amp Generator Power Cord Connector For Up To 12,500 Watt Generators are the female ends and LL550P Reliance Controls LL550P 50 Amp Generator Power Cord Plug For Up To 12,500 Watt Generators are the male ends. In the attached picture you can see they put the wrong UPC and MODEL number on the packaging. The Reliance label is LL550C (this is the correct item) and the UPC is for LL550P. I was really needing 6 male and wanted 4 females as backup replacements but instead received 4 male and 6 females. This is a packaging issue and not anyone's fault but this could potentially be an issue if you are ordering a specific amount and need them all to be correct. I am not doing this to get the order fixed (though I wouldn't complain if it was) but more-so giving a fair warning that this has happened to me multiple times and I hope I'm not just that unlucky. Aside from that very good and reliable product.

Built well, strong, sturdy, easy hook up, great instruction, works great with 6 gauge wire and where the wire enters the bottom of the plug it seals properly.
