I bought this to replace a Moultrie 555i, which failed after less than a year. FYI - A second Moultrie has just failed this week. Lesson learned with Moultrie. To date, I have only shot movies with the Wildgame Innovations Crush 12. So, the points below are only reflective of movies, NOT pictures. Also, while I will use this in the upcoming hunting season, I primarily use it for wildlife watching. I set food plots for critters to see what comes in.In short order -Pros:1. Battery life is ridiculously long. I have had it a month already and haven't had to charge it since initial charging. This alone, could make up for all the other shortcomings.2. Video quality is better than the 8mp Moultrie, but I wouldn't jump for joy over the video quality. That could just be my own unrealistic expectations. I normally shoot a Nikon D700.3. At first, I didn't like the touch screen, now I love it. It is very fast to navigate. I'm sure it is fragile, as other reviewers have mentioned.4. Pretty simple to operate. Much easier than the Moultrie.5. Very small. You could stick this in a large pocket no problem.6. The bungees used to fasten the camera to the tree are adequate, but the cam lock style clip and strap would be way easier to use.Cons:1. Movie images were not as spectacular as expected. I keep this in a heavily wooded area and even in daytime, the area is dark, so shots are always grainy. Maybe it's because it is never in the sun.2. The IR the camera emits is VERY obvious to the critters. You can see these to red glowing IR eyes from a good 50ft. Not good if a thief sees them. We have fox in the area and they really didn't like this thing. See the video. However, they did comeback the following night, so I guess they are getting used to it, or really hungry. It spooks coyote too. I could be a noise it makes too, in addition to the obvious IR, not sure. I have another Moultrie 555i, which I use in tandem with the Crush 12, and the animals don't seem to be bothered by the IR. It has the black IR. This is something Wildgame needs to do for this model.3. First biggest pet peeve is that the movie extension will not allow thumbnails in Microsoft Windows 7 Media Player. The movies work fine; it's just that you can't see the thumbnails in the file folder. Really annoying.4. My second biggest pet peeve about this is there is no password protection, so if someone steals it, it is readily usable. The Moultrie had a five digit code you could enter so if it was stolen, at least they couldn't use it. It just makes me feel better knowing some lowlife can't use it even if they steal it. My own hang-up.5. The game camera logo is printed on each video. Also annoying.6. The micro SD card is not going to be fun to retrieve in February, when my fingers are numb. It is now January. Getting the card in and out is a real pain. You must have your gloves. Worse than that, the SD card is so small, if you drop it in leaves you'll be looking for a while.7. ******BAD********Unfortunately, the WORST two issues that have crept up seven months after I wrote the original review is that there are times it won't take movies for more than a few seconds, if at all. I've also noticed that many times the other game camera catches things the Crush 12 doesn't even trip for. Battery is fully charged. Not sure what is going on. The 15 second minimum delay between shots may be to blame for the missing shots, but getting only three second videos, if any are taken at is a real disappointment. This is why I downgraded the review.

This camera takes great pictures and video
This camera takes great pictures and video. The down side is that it is extremely loud. I left it out on video and every doe was stomping her feet and every buck was running away. Not a good buy.
