Visions of Heresy (Horus Heresy)

I used to own the earlier edition of this book, but lost it after it was loaned to a friend who subsequently moved away! The binding is of good quality, which is always important in larger hardback volumes. The dimensions of the book are noticeably smaller than the earlier edition, making it more compact, while the book is overall a little thicker. This actually makes it easier to fit on bookshelves now! As I don't have the earlier edition for a side by side, I'm unable to comment on whether the illustrations are smaller. However, I personally see no loss in quality. This edition also boasts some new illustrations, which I don't recall seeing in the older book.

Phenomenal book! The artwork is absolutely stunning, any number of the pieces included would be excellent framed and up on any Warhammer fans wall.

To clarify, this is an outstandingly beautiful book that covers virtually the entirety of the Horus Heresy in great detail, but for a new or recent fan I'd recommend getting more into the rest of the lore before you look this way as there's so much going on here. It's a stunning tome of lore and artwook however and not disappointing at all.

This book gives a nice overview of the heresy, alongside hundreds of pieces of art, done in many different styles. It’s beautifully presented, and looks great on a shelf or a coffee table.
