The Engineer Hydrocarbon Magnate Chronograph achieves the fine balance between elegance and resilience. Its design is inspired by early chronographs that had separate start/stop, reset buttons and two sub-dials. The watch is equipped with Ball's 2050 automatic calibre that is based on ETA movement and has been certified by Contreele Officiel Suisse de Chronomestres (COSC) a�� the Swiss institute that tests chronometers. Hands and indices are illuminated through the use of 14 self-powered micro gas tubes that glow 100 times brighter than luminous paint and will function for approximately 25 years. The watch is protected from shock, magnetic influences and water penetration. Accumulated chronographic measurements reach up to 45 minutes. Additional useful functionalities include tachymeter, date display at 12 o'clock, subsidiary seconds, patented crown protection system, screwed-in crown and scratch-resistant sapphire crystal glass with anti-reflective coating.
