are these ok for left handers?

They're really not good for either. Cheap! I have a son that is left handed. Get a hole puncher, turkey baster, play doh, bacon thongs, left handed scissors, etc...there are lots of things you can use that are a bit stronger and will work to strengthen children's motor skills. These items are cheap, flimsy and ended up frustrating my granddaughter after a few minutes. Go to a School Box store or ask a Pre-K teacher to see what they could recommend.

What is there to do with these??

You can use them to have your child pick up and sort (by color or size) craft Pom poms, beads, etc. The suction tool can be used to transfer water from one bowl to another to teach how suction works. The scoopers help them with muscles needed to use scissors and the yellow squeeze tool and tweezers help develop the pincher grasp for using a pencil. Little ones love these and they are great for motor skills! I would buy them again.

Is this appropriate for a 2 year old?

Yes!!! I have 2.5 year old twins who played with them all morning. One twin used 3 toys, the other could only use 2 of them. My almost 4 year old loved them, too.
