Dakine Padded Ski Sleeve

Nice bag. Sturdy construction with plenty of padding. Like a lot so far.

Good padding and held up well on two flights. Easy to get skis in and roomy enough for some additional gear.

The Dakine bags are high quality. The Spice color looks great and is very easy to spot in the changing room.

This Dakine ski sleeve is awesome. It’s more padded than I anticipated. The padding seems about an inch thick and feels stiff enough to protect skis from getting banged up. I liked the zipper ease of use and sturdiness. The straps are long enough to be used as a shoulder straps which is a nice feature as well, and makes carrying easy. I’d say it is a great value.

Very nice bag! Adequately padded, I travelled across the states with it and some airport lazy staff dragged in on the floor but the bag handled it very well - not a tear! Plenty of room for ski clothes but not helmet or boots, which by common sense you don’t want in the same bag to begin with (if the bag is lost - at least you have your ski boots, but if it’s all together in one bag - well...). I’m happy with the purchase.

Fit my skis perfectly. Used to transport my skis to the ski resort. Thrown into the back of my pick up truck. Would take out of the bag on the parking lot and carry in with a shoulder strap. Used for storing at home also. Keeps dirt and dust off. I would unzip bag when I got home and aired the bag and the skis from any moisture.

Case is padded and holds one pair with poles well

One of the reason why I choose this over the Tram bag and other Dakine bag is that the product image looks slim and could fit my ski tighter, given Dakine ski bag many do not have inner strap for ski fixture, a big concern for air travel where ppl constantly toss & kick luggage around. That is not the case, it's still too much space and loose. You will definitely need to pack some clothes in to avoid the ski moving around in the bag. On the end there's still a 15-20cm empty space. Do consider that I have a 169cm ski and purchasing the 175cm bag, so if you have a longer ski it might not be a problem for you. That said, I believe this bag is still smaller than the Tram bag, plus it's relatively affordable for a padded bag so overall satisfactory. You may still want to look for a bag with inner ski strap. The bag zip you can easily put on a TSA lock so don't worry too much about that.
