A taste of Old Russia ........
Kolchugino Metalworks is a quality outfit and this is the second time I have bought one of these. Both are from different vendors but same factory in Russia. The metal is quality(Nickle plated brass) and sturdy and these will last forever. This is the same Podstakannik that you see on the trains in Russia today and were very common in the old days of the Soviet Union. Good product and I love mine. Anybody that says it's poor quality doesn't know what they are talking about when it comes to Podstakannik and Kolchugino.

Beautiful, Solid, Excellent Details
I'm very happy with my new podstakanniks, they are very sturdy and feel very nice to the touch. The finish is excellent and they were clearly made with pride and skill. I'm very pleased with the work done to make them.

Very nostalgic
Quite a few years ago, I spent time in Russia doing medical research. Needless to say, this type of tea holder was quite common. I bought one just for old times sake.

Think the " Hunt for Red October "
I love this blast from the past. 19th century Russia at it's best. I feel like the captain of the Red October every time I drink tea from it . Totally cool .
