Davy Crockett or Daniel Boon Style Coon Skin Hat with Real Tail

Was purchased for our almost 4-year old grandson. I originally ordered two but sent one of them back due to the coon tail being extremely short and thin. The cap is really neat but does run small. I got the youth small and it fits exact with no extra room for growth so he may outgrow it pretty quick. I do recommend getting the next larger size up. Overall though, it is a good cap for a kiddo that loves to play Davy Crockett. We purchased a pop gun along with it so he's happy.

I ordered this hat for my husband. His favorite show when he was a kid was Davey Crockett. So I ordered it in a large thinking it was going to be perfect for him. It was too big! I took it in an inch. Next time I'll order it in a small. He gets asked where he bought it. He was actually going to get mugged for that hat.

It was cute. However, the material around the edge is so short that the hat sits on your head like your balancing a paper plate and falls off if you tilt your head at all. The description doesn’t let you know this. I sent it back but was dinged for shipping.

These hats are exactly what I hoped they would be. They are reasonably well made and look great. They are also incredibly warm, though partially synthetic. The seller was very quick to fill the order which I appreciated because I outfitted a patrol of scouts with these for an upcoming western road trip to Yellowstone National Park. We haven't left yet and the fun is already worth the cost.
