Perfect to remove HD wheel races
Trolling through You Tube I discovered that someone figured out that this device was the proper dimensions to remove front wheel bearing races on my 1986 Harley Davidson. Simply install it into the race, expand the tool to get some purchase on the back side of the race then use a suitable sized rod (preferably bronze or something equally soft) and a hammer the race out from the the side opposite the tool. It worked perfectly. It is considerably less expensive than the OEM tool to do the same job. Good value. Would buy again.

Bearing tool
Works fine for me.

Vehicle type.
This worked on my 2024 Harley road glide. I fumbled with it at 1st until I figured out how tight to expand the tool. There is a sweet spot. Both races were removed fairly smooth and zero damage caused.

This things is amazing
In my youth I did a gazillion stem bearing the old fashioned way with a hammer and a punch but the two bikes in my garage only one race came out that way. Good review led me to this tool so returning the favor. 1997 Kawasaki Concours and 1990 Honda PC800. PC800 bearing pooped right out because it was an old ball bearing with decent shoulder just in a "necked out" portion of the lower stem so getting a punch on it was tough. Concours took a bit more fiddling. I saw that lots of reviewers ground down a portion but that was not required for me. Expand the tool as much as you then wiggle it and expand it more. Make sure it is square in the bore and then try once more with the wiggle and tighten using a standard shortish 12 mm wrench. Find the largest socket that can slip down the stem (HF 27mm deep for me) and attach your longest sacrificial impact extension. One small tap to make sure the tool is square ont he lip (I rechecked the tool for tightness but it was maxed out). Three whacks with 2# drilling hammer for the bottom race (better swing angle) and 5 for the top. Done! I literally could only be happier if I had not wasted time the old fashioned way. The tool is excellent!

Great tool, made from quality steel
A+ for this tool and super easy to use compared to other similar but more expensive options. Be sure to get a decent sized chisel/punch and this will make removing the steering head races very quick.

Excellent value and it works!
I bought this to remove the taper bearing races from my Harley wheels, rear fork and steering bearings. So far I have removed the wheel bearings and so far so good. The OTC tool is a close fit but grips behind the bearing race so it can be driven out from the opposite side. The advantage with this tool is that it can be adjusted to fit different size bearings. Whereas the much more expensive collet type bearing removers need different collets for each bearing size. The OTC should do all three sizes of taper bearings on my Harley. The down side is that you cannot use the OTC tool to install bearings but pressing in bearings is best done on a bearing press. It is made of decent steel and should survive plenty of use. Excellent value compared to other much more expensive types of bearing removal tools.

Race bearing puller
I used this product to pull the race bearings on a 2005 Super Glide. I was hesitant after reading a couple reviews where it was stated that it wouldn't work on a Harley-Davidson. That is not correct. It worked perfectly. I will say that you have to tighten it all the way open and I used 1/2 in galvanized pipe 12in long to hammer it out. That is what would span the gap, and fit into the steering head. A couple wacks with a hammer and they were out.

Great tool but did not work on 07 Street Glide
Great, solid design, easy to use. Does NOT fit the space between the race and neck on a 2007 Harley Davidson Street Glide and so was not usable for the purpose it was advertised for on this bike. The lip at the outside bottom of the tool was too thick to fit between the bottom race and frame to remove the neck/steering bearing. Had to buy another tool that did fit this specific design and space to successfully finish the job.
