Katie and the Sunflowers

I bought this book for my granddaughters. We were in Amsterdam this spring and I saw this book in the vanGogh museum. It was easier to order it from Amazon then to pack it in a suitcase. It's a charming little book. Our granddaughters are 4, 6 and 9 so it is perfect for them to share.

Liveabke for young and old

Have gotten all of the Katie books and also given as gifts. Pages are heavier than a standard book and cover is nice and durable.

I bought this book to add to an Art Classroom library I am building. This book includes art, adventure and a little magic, great for younger kids to have fun learning about art history.

Really cute story with beautiful illustrations. I use it with my low grade art class to introduce post impressionistic artists. Fun combination of real and make believe catches the imagination of the kids. I was not happy with the condition this book arrived in, pages were bent and stuck together.

Great introduction to art for young children. Brings attention to the detail in the paintings.

We have other books in this series and my daughter loves them all! A gift from my father, who loves sunflowers.

I have really enjoyed the Katie Series. I teach preschool and use these stories in my class to introduce the children to the various artist. The children enjoy the "magic" Katie has to visit inside the pictures and how Grandma takes a snooze. Delightful read.

Katie collection by James Mayhew is worth to keep in your shelf for your kids. It’s Katie’s adventure to the museum, meeting a lot of painting characters and also their painter. I found the price of this book is cheaper from Amazon than the other websites.

Pictures are enjoyable and the plot of the story is not what we can easily imagine and surprising!
