Zojirushi Electric Dispensing Pot Cleaner and Descaler, 8 Count

Zojirushi, in general, is a brand synonymous with high-quality, well-thought out, practical, incredible household products. I use this cleaner with my 3.0 Liter hot-water boiler and it is one of my favorite appliances to use in our kitchen. This cleaner keeps the boiler clean and de-scaled when used on a regular a basis. It’s recommended to use this every few months to ensure that the inside of your hot water boiler is descaled properly from hard materials present in your water. I live in a part of Texas where we have harder water, and even with an Aquasana filter, sediment can build up inside the hot water boiler over time. I would recommend checking the inside of your hot-water boiler every few weeks to months to check if you have any white, filmy residue build-up around the perimeter or bottom of your Zojirushi hot-water boiler. If you do, use this pocket and fill up the hot water boiler with warm water, let the cleaning function work it’s magic by holding down the proper button on your model, and then voila! Insides cleaned! After using cleaner, I always pour out the mixture into the sink, then rinse the insides again a few times to ensure it is completely descaled. Sometimes, though, if there has been significant buildup after nor cleaning for a long time, you may still have to scrub the inside of your boiler to get all buildup out. This is not a knock on the product, just the fact that a ton of buildup needs more than a routine maintenance cleaning to get it completely cleaned out. Lastly, after cleaning and rinsing in the sink, be sure to fill up the container and drain out probably another full tank of water through the spout to SME sure all the chemicals have been flushed out properly. You don’t want to taste the cleaning solution in your coffee or tea! 😖 I would highly recommend getting this to keep your product clean and humming on all cylinders!

This product is great for your Zojirushi hot water pot since it's made especially for Zojirushi products. It descales and cleans up the pot with usually one packet. If more calcium build up use 2 packs. The product was well packaged and arrived early. I highly recommend this seller. Just a heads up for anyone wanting to know if it works well in other products that need descaling I wouldn't know since I only use this descaler for my Zojirushi hot water pot.

Item received is the same as pictured. The product works well at removing mineral deposit build up on the interior of my electric kettle. After an initial boil with the citric acid cleaner, I hand wash the kettle to ensure removal of any residual powder, rinse it, and boil with filtered water to finish. I recommend this product to friends and family as it is a good value and easy to use.

We bought this because it is non-toxic. I have used it to descale our kettle twice now and we are really happy. When used as directed it works really well. Things to know about using this product. 1/ dissolve it in water outside the kettle first. Then add it to the kettle and run the kettle full to boil. Leave it for 90 minutes. Rinse the kettle properly after and its done. Great results in an area with really hard water. No smell and easy to use.

This works great! However regular citric acid is the same thing. One packet of this is equal to 1 oz./30 grams of regular citric acid. They show citric acid 77-92-9 on the label. I looked it up and that's just the scientific name for citric acid.
