Fun
The bags of parts were all labeled 1 and 2 but other than that it is easy to figure out. Just leave space to spread parts out.

Fun, Educational, and Impressively Detailed
The Chanbrick V8 Engine Model Kit is a fantastic build for anyone interested in mechanical engineering or cars. The kit is very well-designed, with all the pieces fitting together precisely. It comes with a motor and light spray, and the app control adds a really fun, interactive element—you can actually make the engine run and see all the moving parts in action. Assembly is challenging enough to be engaging without being frustrating. The instructions are clear, though you’ll want to take your time and follow each step carefully. Once completed, the model looks impressive and realistic, with a satisfying mechanical feel when you turn the engine or operate it via the app. This kit isn’t just a toy—it’s an educational tool that teaches about engine mechanics and motor functions. It’s perfect for adults or older teens who enjoy hands-on building projects and collectible engineering models. Overall, it’s a high-quality, rewarding experience that’s both fun and visually impressive.

Missing piece, unable to even start building.
A missing piece at the first couple of steps into the build ruined the whole project, looked ahead to see if there were more missing, and yes, they were more missing. Returned it right away.

Cool idea
The instructions aren't the best. I was fairly careful following them and still had to take the engine apart and rebuild a few steps. The quality is okay it's definitely not the name brand building bricks but it's still pretty cool. Everything seems to fit together pretty well and the pieces don't generally move/come undone.

For the Advanced Cookies
Definitely for the advanced builders - I have a savant, but he’s too young for this - he needs lots of breaks between sessions. The teenager however handled this like a pro. The kit come with 8, “No. 1” bags (K9…1-8), 6 “No. 2” bags (K9…9-14), 3 additional bags for motor, lights and parts. I was hoping the numbering within the No. x bags would help with finding parts in order of the build, but it didn’t. You will need organizing bins to find what you need. I wish I knew/could figure out what was the rationale between the grouping of parts. 😓. Anyways! There are 191steps on a 47 page booklet. Good 1:1 reference guides for size throughout the build. Motor works clockwise, counterclockwise, and uses a USB-C charging cable. Silvery/metalic paint for some of the pieces give it a nice touch in photos, but not so great in actuality. Fabulous rendering of an engine, and is a great tool to help my younger kiddo who may not be able to build it, but uses it to understand how an engine works!
