After having an old Vizio for more than a dozen years, it was getting long in the tooth and time for a new TV. After researching the options, I chose the S95D (55 inch) and I couldn't be happier. Setup and installation was a breeze and from start to finish I had the TV up and running in 30 minutes. The included apps look nice but since I already have an Apple TV box, I generally just use that. It looks like you could to a large degree do without it and just use the TV directly if you were mostly using Netflix, Amazon Prime, Apple TV, etc as there are built-in apps for all of these and more in the TV already. The picture quality is gorgeous compared to our 2012-era LED TV. Highly recommend this model and thinking of getting its big brother for our upstairs media room.

Great TV all around. The anti-glare is amazing! No complaints but a couple. But they’re major to me. So I can’t go above a 3 star score. It’s disappointing as I’ve been a Samsung user for years. That stand is the most difficult and annoying tv stand I’ve ever encountered and I’m already having internet connection issues also after just 3 months. The pieces you have to put together for the stand weigh a ton each and the directions were confusing at best. They said use 2 people. I’m disabled and I don’t have 2 people. They should warn buyers BEFORE they purchase it. Adding to the problem you have to lay the TV down flat on its front to be able to attach the stand, so it hangs off the edge. Very dangerous and any wrong move your tv is on the floor and broken. After 4 hours of pain and fighting with this thing did I finally get it attached. It’s missing a screw. SMH. The quick-connect box? Good idea poorly executed. It plugs into the TV by one cord. Either a 3 or 6ft. The box then attaches to the stand. Which I couldn’t figure out. So since I have it on a stand it’s just sitting behind the tv. This is an issue waiting to happen. It’s secured by 1 screw where it connects to the tv. If your tv gets hit or moved for some reason that cord could get bent or pulled out and damage the connecting pins. Oh, there’s no screw or anchoring device on the box end. From what I’ve read in reviews the QC box is a problem. Make it truly wireless and you’ve got something to develop into a great product. The tv keeps having internet issues. Mainly connectivity problems. I have great internet speeds and other devices work fine. A 3 month old tv shouldn’t have these kinda issues at the price it’s at.

Display is perfect. Blacks are definitely black and dark scenes in shows are much easierto see as compared to my 5-year-old Samsung 4k LCD in the same size. Now for the bad . . . We have Xfinity gb cable with the modem in the same 13X15 room as this TV. No matter what I tried, 2.4 GHz or 5 Ghz wireless, or even direct-connect Cat 6 LAN, the streaming apps were pretty much worthless. Worthless as in disconnecting during use if they connected at all. I went through the entire gamut of settings, calling tech support, etc, and it NEVER worked correctly. Finally, I bought a Roku Ultra and set it up. It has worked flawlessly, so the issue was definitely with the hardware/firmware/software in this TV and not with my home network. Since we stream exclusively, this definitely cost 2 stars.

I would have liked a more powerful sound capacity. I had to use a sound bar to get the stereo sound quality. And volume. The picture and color is amazing.

We've had the new 55" S95D installed on a flexible wall mount for about 3 weeks now and we are very pleased with this TV. We upgraded from a much older 47" Samsung LED set that was at least 15 yrs old. This new OLED set was pretty easy to set up. The only glitch was the fact that there no longer is any support for analog audio connections. I had to buy a DV to RCA L/R converter cable to be able to connect my Sony stereo amp and ADS speakers which gives me super audio. The S95D built in audio is pretty good in comparison to my old set in any case. I went ahead and trashed the box and packing materials as I plan to keep this TV. The colors were so shockingly saturated when I first saw them that I sent in to the settings to reduce contrast, saturation and black level. My eyes hurt it was so intense. I am used to it now and love it.
