Wim Hof method is great, the author is maybe a bit self indulgent
Useful methodology shared in the book, however a lot of self indulgent waffle I speed read through. Overall a worthwhile read. No doubt the Wim Hof Method is life changing.

What it is and isn't
There are a lot of reviews here from disappointed readers, so here is some clarification. This book can be described as one man's journey. It describes the author's experience with the Wim Hof method. It is NOT an instruction manual on how to do it. As well as the author's experiences, it also provides quite a lot of background on how WH developed his method, interviews with medical specialists, interviews with people who have benefited from the method, and experiences with other trainers using this and/or similar methods. Scott Carney is not the world's greatest writer, but overall the book is interesting, informative and reasonably rigorous. It just won't teach you how to do it. I don't think there are any books that do that.

Interesting subject, but very verbose and tests patience
As per the headline. The author tries the reader's patience by being verbose and trying to write lots of little stories. There is lots of unnecessary detail that does not add to the tale but adds to the word count, and does not add interest; not for this reader anyway. I cannot recommend this book; I would advise that anyone interested in this subject go straight to Wim Hof's own book.

Awesome book and great writing style
I haven't finished reading this yet but I'm thoroughly enjoying it. I've always been super interested in Wim Hoffs methods and this book is perfectly written to display his methods with anecdotal support. Great read!
