Except for Cuban and Lavazza's Qualita Rossa and Crema E Gusto, I almost always buy beans over pre-ground...and agree with all the reasons why grinding fresh is superior to buying pre-ground. However, when I stumbled on this listing of $11 for 28 ounces (only 40¢/oz) of my favorite SB blend, I had to give this pre-ground a shot. Say what you want, but I'm unapologetically a Starbucks fan, especially of their single origin Sumatran and Verona blend. But I don't buy SB often as Lavazza's lineup is consistently good and more economical. SB's Grind Size: Medium-course is their "universal grind" that they use in stores for their standard drip coffee and store-bought pre-ground coffee. Too course for most of my uses, but I vacuum packed 1/3 in a mason jar for my French press when I have guests, and re-ground the rest to medium-fine (7 steps from finest on my Capresso), about the look and feel of sand. I put a week's supply in an air displacement cannister for daily use and the rest vacuum packed. What a big difference the re-grinding made for my moka pot, Aeropress, and (cough) Keurig. The re-grinding seems to release more oils, giving a good balance of the acid, sweet, and bitter components in the extraction. I'm just a hobbyist without the gourmet palate of some coffee snobs, but after re-grinding, this "cheaper-than-Folgers" coffee makes me excellent shots of near-espresso and thoroughly satisfying cups of flavorful coffee...what more can a coffee hobbyist ask for? I received my bag about 5 months before the BB date, a non-issue with my vacuum storage...but this bag will be history long before that date. I plan to order three more bags before prices go up. My mason jar vacuum sealer will be working overtime as I'll immediately repack all three bags to slow down the oxidation. ツ *60-80% cheaper than the $1+/ounce Folgers Black Silk that I tried in the past...cheaper but much better.

Barato, buen sabor pero el producto caduca en Septiembre, un mes despues de recibirlo. Muy mal por el vendedor

We love it. This is our go-to coffee, the one both of us choose to make over any others we have on hand. Anyone else that tries it inevitably looks over the mug with wide-eyes as they’re sipping, followed by “what IS this fabulous coffee I’m drinking?” Can’t imagine any coffee lover not enjoying this.
