When it is fitted properly, this blacks out all light well. The fabric is soft and comfortable on the eyes. What is not so comfortable is the strap. I am a side sleeper and I wake up each day with a deep indentation on my temple between my eye and my ear where the strap has dug into me. For back sleepers there may be no problem. Also the nose piece needs to be nipped firmly every wearing or else light seeps in. Good, but still some room for improvement.
