I’ve worn a lot of fragrances, but Tom Ford Ombré Leather is one that keeps surprising me. This isn’t just another leather scent — it’s become a staple in my rotation for good reason. What Makes It Stand Out • Striking and rich leather — When I first spray it, the leather note is bold but not harsh. It’s luxurious, smooth, and full of character. It doesn’t smell like a rough leather jacket; instead, it feels refined and elevated. • Spice and warmth — The cardamom at the top adds a touch of brightness and warmth that keeps it interesting as it develops. • Balanced floral notes — Jasmine Sambac blends perfectly with the leather, softening the edges and adding elegance without making it sweet. • Deep base — Moss, amber, and patchouli round it out beautifully. It lasts all day on me, from morning through evening, and the dry down feels smooth and inviting. • Versatility — It shines in the evening or cooler months, but I’ve worn it during the day too when I wanted something that feels sharp and confident. Things to Know • The projection is noticeable. This isn’t a quiet scent, so a few sprays are enough. • In hotter weather, it can feel more intense until it settles, so I prefer it in fall, winter, or cooler spring days. • The price is high, but for the quality and performance, it feels justified. Overall Verdict Five stars from me. Ombré Leather is bold, luxurious, and layered — everything I want from a leather fragrance. It’s one of those rare scents that feels both modern and timeless, and I can see it staying in my collection permanently.

The scent is very pleasant. When you spray it on your body, you won't feel it. Leave it for 10 minutes; when the fragrance settles, you will notice a very pleasant scent.

Ombre Leather isn't my favorite Tom Ford fragrance, but most of my favorites have been discontinued, and I'm still bitter about it. I love leather perfumes, yet this one always surprises me with how floral it is. When my nephew wears Ombre Leather (he adopted my bottle and enjoys it), it opens on a bright, slightly sour, bold rose type of scent (I know there's jasmine here, but it smells distinctly rosy to my nose), touched with spiced cardamom and slightly smoky black leather. I rarely pick up the amber, moss, or patchouli it supposedly contains. To my nose, it leans far more feminine, warm, and floral than the "pure leather" or "animalic leather" that many reviewers describe. It seems that Ombre Leather is trying to echo the style of Middle Eastern fragrances with a plush, spiced, resinous, floral leather balance, but having worn many authentic Arabic perfumes, I find this one to be quite tame and thin feeling by comparison. It's elegant, yes, but also lackluster, and I find myself wishing that it had a stronger leather smell and not so much of that musky, warm floral note. I love animalics and leather, and this isn't animalic to me at all. It is a strong, warm scent with lots of sillage and staying power, but again, just too floral for me. My heart still belongs to the lost gems of the Tom Ford line: Noir Anthracite, Plum Japonais, Patchouli Absolu, and Japon Noir (and are they trying to discontinue Jasmin Rouge as well now? at least I still have Black Orchid and Noir Extreme). I'll never understand why they were retired in favor of blends like Ombre Leather, Bitter Peach, and Lost Cherry. If those are your favorites, no offense, but you might be my perfume nemesis. I don't think that this is a safe blind buy by any means, but it is usually priced well on Amazon. My nephew does love this fragrance and get compliments on it; it's just not my favorite.

Smells like you're a walking tack shop or boot store. I can't express enough the amount of compliments received from wearing this scent. Airline attendants and other travelers asking for the name. Just wish I had the good looks to go along with it. 😉

Ich bin von diesem Duft absolut begeistert. Ich bin zwar eine Frau und eigentlich ist es ein Männer Parfum, glaube ich. Aber egal. Der Duft ist fantastisch nicht zu aufdringlich Charakter voll nach Leder riechen einfach wundervoll.
