Great utility decaf! Really good price if you need whole decaf beans.
It tastes less dark than it looks which is a benefit for me as I am trying to find a lighter decaf roast. It plays well when used to make personal half caff mixes with things like Starbucks Sunsera and Veranda. I would say if anything it is very "inoffensive" in flavors? There's very little of anything beyond what I would call "coffee." There's no particular standout sweetness, nuttiness or anything to it. I am surprised by this given how visibly dark it is compared to another decaf roast I have. For the very, very competitive price at 12oz and how fresh the package seems (no roast date but "expiration" is June 2026, so this package might be only a few months old as of September 2025) I think I'd add this in as a tool to make half caff (or perhaps quarter caff or other mix rates) or otherwise if I just want to taste the most inoffensive coffee sometimes. Being whole bean rather than ground makes it even better. Decaf coffee degrades faster due to the way decaf processes require the beans to be "opened up" before they undergo decaf. Whole beans means there's a lot less surface area exposed to the beans and the highly competitive pricing for small packages means only ordering (and opening) them up when I'm running low on them so that'll reduce degradation more. Definitely more of a tool than standalone roast for my espressos. For roast darkness comparison in the photo is: Starbucks Sunsera - Amazon Fresh Decaf Colombia Medium - Blue Bottle Coffee Decaf

Ultimate cup of Coffee with Reduced Caffeine
Being an elder person, my wife and I need to reduce caffeine intake, so we pair 1/2 full caff full taste coffee with a decaf. Problem is most decaff coffee doesnt have much taste. As a chemist having done some flavor studies, I am sensitive. This whole bean Arabica Columbia coffee is wonderful. Upon opening the package, the light nutty aroma signaled me immediately that a step-up selection was now before me. Did a fine grind and pair it with Costco premium grind for that optimum flavor cup. Adding some organic half and half and one then has the height of delight. No need for flavored additives. It stands on its own needing nothing else. My search for a wonderful, full flavor coffee with reduced caffeine is now available.

Good decaf beans.
Really hard to find decaf beans for a reasonable price. Taste is not remarkable but way better than any preground decaf. Roast is true medium and not over “Char-bucked”.

Flavor, availability and price
I’ve been buying this decaf Colombia whole bean coffee for several months now, and it has officially become a household favorite. It’s often hard to find a decaf that actually tastes like "real" coffee, but this medium roast hits the spot every time. It’s smooth, flavorful, and never bitter. My family and I start our days with a fresh-ground cup, and honestly, we don’t even miss the caffeine! If you’re looking for a consistent, high-quality decaf that the whole family will love, I can’t recommend this 3-pack enough. We’ll definitely keep this on our "Buy Again" list!

Bitter but at least you can taste it.
Very bitter but at least it isn’t bland. I have to add extra sugar and milk.

Coffee in Time
Very fresh and bold flavor. The beans are dark brown in color. The decaf tastes exactly like an excellent coffee. Wimp whole bean coffee is worth the cost.

Amazon roast coffee is amazing. Decaf too
Pretty good coffee. We mix it with our decaf Dunkin coffee and it gives a perfect taste and aroma. We love the blend and acidity.

A corruption of coffee
This coffee is suck. It's really bad. Technically it's not the worst coffee I've ever had- Walmart break room coffee is worse- but barely. Let's start with the janky bag shall we? I'm assuming an entire horse was used to seal this bag o'beans shut. I practically had to turn into Wolverine to shred my way inside to the alleged decaffeinated goodies. I've included a photo of the bag for reference- you fine people deserve to see what phalangeal carnage you're in for upon purchase. Let's move onto the beans- this is a medium roast. The beans are nearly black. Which means they're burnt. I've included a photo of my 8 o'clock medium roast coffee bean (on the left-looking scrumptious and not burnt) next to this brand's coffee bean on the right. Smh. They should not visually present so differently. To my great surprise and gustatory horror, not only is this coffee burnt to a crisp, but it's also stale! Yummy....not. To add to this palatal abomination which seeks to call itself coffee, it's more bitter than my elderly, three times divorced, man hating mother in law. Which is truly saying something. Does it function as decaffeinated coffee? Sure. My only goal with this coffee was to have something hot that wouldn't keep me up at night and wasn't water or tea. Nailed it. Is it organic? No clue. Is it bold? It certainly IS bold, in that I cannot believe the audacity sort of way. I hope this reaches you before you let the 8 dollar and change price tag lure you in- get the slightly more expensive one- you and I both deserve it. Not this... vulgarity upon the tongue.
