Review: Book condition - This is a review of the hard bound book rather than its contents. The book is in excellent condition. Review: Great book to start off with QM - Great book to start off with QM, provided you haven't had much exposure to QM earlier (in which case go for something else or clear off your mind first). The first chapter introduces all the necessary mathematical tools necessary for the later chapters. It's written in a neat, no-extras, to-the-point fashion, with the right amount of rigor right from the beginning. FYI, this is considered a highly recommended textbook in today's QM courses. Highly recommended for undergraduates.

Excellent Printing and Binding
1. One of the best books to learn QM. 2. Excellent printing and binding quality. (Printed in the Netherlands) 3. Authentic hard-cover binding with pages stitched together. 4. This edition is printed in normal paper unlike the older editions which were printed in glossy paper. 5. The only issue that still remains from the previous prints is the font-size. Some times, the equations are printed with very small fonts.

COMPLETE MATHEMATICAL AND THEORETICAL APPROACH.
It has theoretical realm of Quantum Mechanics. If you want to study quantum mechanics for the first time, do not order this book. Its full of mathematical devices. This book is highly useful and is recommended to research students and those doing post graduation or are 2nd or 3rd year graduation students. If you are good at Introductory Level of Q. Mechanics then order it. If you order : 'Quantum Physics: Of Atoms, Molecules, Solids, Nuclei and Particles' by Eisberg and Resnick you would understand the APPLIED logic of quantum physics. When you have gone through this book or other introductory book, then order this book. I will recommend you this book only if you are quite good at the sense made by Quantum Mechanics.

A good textbook
This starts with a mathematical introduction (don't skip it) and goes on to cover all standard topics in quantum mechanics in a satisfactory way.

Excellent book for motivated undergraduates
Excellent text for an introduction to Quantum Mechanics. Covers the basics extensively and clearly. Problems are challenging. Highly recommended for motivated undergraduates.

Received fake book.
Just by looking caught the book is fake, upon opening the book binding was awful, sewn pages very tight. Also printing was pathetic. Springer’s produce superb quality books. Can’t fool so easily with counterfeits.

the best intro
this book is the standard textbook followed in graduate courses(advanced qntm mech) in almost all best universities of the world. the mathematical intro and details on scattering made this book an essential in atomic physics(e.g. cold atoms).

Excellent book than can be used to study Quantum Mechanics beyond Bachelor level. I can honestly say the introduction is so good that one could even use this as a self study book without formally being enrolled in a Master/PhD programme. Simply put, this can be used as a continuation of Griffith's Introduction to Quantum Mechanics.

This book is pretty much as described. The thing which attracted me to it is that its introductory chapter is 73 pages of the mathematics you'll need. For years I have been looking for something like this, not wanting to teach myself all pure and applied mathematics up to graduate level just to make sure I had what was needed for quantum mechanics (and special relativity, but that, as the saying goes, is a different story). So I put off teaching myself the quantum mechanics I had been wanting to learn since high school but didn't because I didn't continue my maths/science degree. Now I'm confident I have what I need. The specialist maths (math to Americans) is not much beyond first year linear algebra with complex vector spaces. It would have been nice to know just how little maths you really need decades ago, but I'm happy now. My only complaint is the small number of worked out solutions to the problems in the appendix. It is quite an old book, for those to whom such trivialities are deal breakers, but then you don't have to be at the cutting edge to treat the basics, do you? Highly recommended to anyone who, like me, wants to learn only so much maths as is absolutely necessary, and not one bit more. Life is too short to learn everything, but understanding quantum mechanics, or understanding you don't understand more clearly than a popular science book can communicate, is surely worth the effort.

Fantastico.
