It's been 3 months and I can honestly say I'm starting to notice a difference in volume and thickness of hair growth. I'm excited to see/feel what the next 3 months brings. From my view, purchasing the rechargeable battery greatly improves chances of keeping to a regiment of wearing the unit every other day. Being able to move around the house while in use vs being tethered to an electrical outlet in the wall is a must for me. Do your research. Hair follicles must still be active to restart hair growth. You may want to meet with a qualified professional before purchasing. Also, do not use more than the recommended time in a single day and only use every other day, as recommended by the manufacturer. Using longer or more frequently can damage follicles.

Very easy to use, just plug it in and let it charge. No side effects to the scalp and I have super thin/fine hair so Im hoping this works, my dermatologist recommended red light therapy so this is the route I took.I just got mine this week and will give you a 6 month update.

The device seems very well made - does not have a cheap feel at all. There is also a noticeable 'pulse' on the scalp when it is being used, which gives the sense that it is doing something. The company team has been very nice so far and it would appear they will be very helpful if any issues were ever to come up. The optional battery pack is the way to go... much more convenient. For me, the batteries lasted for 3 full sessions and almost a fourth before needing to be recharged. Too soon to tell on the results, but an initial shed is something that is supposed to happen per the literature, which is a sign that it is working, and I am going through that now after using it for just over a month. Time will tell!

I’ve been using the iRestore Professional helmet for about two months, every other day. I’m in my early 40s and dealing with hair loss likely caused by severe anemia (I recently had an iron infusion), along with possible female pattern thinning. Since anemia-related hair loss takes time to reverse, I’m using the helmet together with iRestore’s hair-strengthening supplements. It’s still early, so this is a “so far” review. The helmet itself is easy to use, but it initially felt too tight. I have a very sensitive scalp, and to their credit, customer support immediately sent smaller padding for free, which helped a lot. During use, I feel mild tingling and itching—nothing painful or alarming. I did use it once or twice with wet hair before realizing that might not be recommended. I would personally prefer a very clear, simple list of do’s and don’ts. It may exist, but if so, it’s easy to miss. In terms of results, my hair shedding seems to have slowed down by about 50%. It’s still shedding, but noticeably less. One week when I was sick and didn’t use the helmet, I experienced a big shed at the end of the week, which makes me slightly concerned about dependency—but I’m watching that over time. My hair does look fuller overall, likely because I’m losing less. One thing I’m monitoring closely: I noticed a sudden increase in white hairs on the top of my head after starting. That could be age-related, but the timing and location make me cautious. I’m not jumping to conclusions yet. I haven’t started their topical hair products yet because I prefer not to change everything at once. For now, I’m using highly rated caffeine-based and natural stimulant shampoos and washing every other day. My husband tried the helmet briefly and felt like he was shedding more, but I don’t think he gave it enough time to judge. Overall, I like the company’s responsiveness, and while the emails are automated, I actually appreciate the ongoing contact because it makes it easier to ask questions. I’m giving this 4 stars for now and plan to update once I’ve used it longer and added the rest of the system.

I have been disappointed so many times with things that were supposed to help and didn’t . I have been using the hat, pills, serum and shampoo/conditioner faithfully for 3 months. I believe my hair is growing. I want to wait for a full 6 months before declaring success.
