This product feels very durable right out of the box. It’s fairly heavy, which gives you confidence that it’s solidly built and not flimsy. The instructions are clear and easy to follow, and the mounting brackets seem strong and well-designed. I’ve driven about 100 miles with it installed and haven’t noticed any significant wind noise, which was a pleasant surprise. It also looks high quality once mounted. One thing that stood out, even if it seems minor, is the packaging. It was extremely well protected during shipping, and everything arrived in perfect condition. It gives the impression that real care went into the design and delivery. There are also some natural mounting points if you want to add lights, which is a nice bonus. Overall, I’m very happy with it and would definitely recommend it.

This hitch cargo carrier is a good value. It creates more storage for your vehicle and seems to be durable and should withstand the elements. The two inch upward design is something I believe will make a difference to help prevent scraping on the ground and whatnot. Assembly was simple, just be sure to keep the screws loose until all are in the carrier before tightening. The added pieces for this makes it complete and eliminates the need to purchase other items. It doesn’t fold, but that would probably add significantly more cost. I haven’t used it yet, but I’m confident it will serve its purpose when I do.

This is a great product for the money. Rack is good quality for the price and comes with a bunch of extras: bag, ratchet straps, hitch tightener and net. It all adds up to be a great value... but there are a couple things to keep in mind: 1) This is sturdy for most people's needs (used for additional storage on vacations) but if you need something to carry heavy equipment, I would recommend something with a stronger gauge. It has a 500lb weight limit but warns of shifting loads, meaning, give yourself a safety margin under the weight limit and you will be fine. I think this is not an issue for most people. 2) Watch where your exhaust comes out of the vehicle. A couple reviews had disastrous outcomes with heat, this was because the exhaust heat exited right in to the items on the rack. Make sure your exhaust flows under the hitch. If your hitch opening aligns with -or- is under the exhaust, you will need to buy a different hitch with a curve in it or an attachment that lifts the hitch up above the exhaust. This is a no frills hitch to save cost: no bend in it for very low vehicles, it also does not fold up when not in use. I think this is a good product, if it aligns with how you are using it.

Easy to take on and off. Very durable, haven’t had to use cover yet so unsure of how waterproof. Easily fits a few suitcases and cooler.

The thickness of the metal in the hitch is more than I expected. All of the bolts and nuts we a much larger diameter than expected. It also included a locking hitch pin, so that you hitch cannot be removed without your knowledge. I have a car top carrier, but I wanted to try this product out as it is much easier to put your items in the cargo area than it is to be lifting beach chair onto the roof of your car, and then into the cargo bag.
