Great replacement for failing instrument cluster lights for speedometer
Excellent purchase. I had failed LED behind my speedometer... Instead of spending $$$ to repair or replace the instrument cluster, I took apart the dash and put these inside the instrument cluster case behind the speedometer needle. Works great. Blue or green is best for illumination, red doesn't work behind the chip. Ran wires clean behind the plastic and plugged in... Works great! Easy to install, fit exactly where it needed to. Saved me $200

Awesome Lights! Flashes To the Music and Very Bright
Awesome lights. They transition from light to dark when changing to a different color. They are synced to the beat of music when they're on the first music mode. It actually comes with many more leds than ones that similarly priced on Amazon. They're so bright I can see them in the daytime too as long as there's some kind of shadow under the dash. I have left them on all night on accident despite the button on the car charger, but it never killed my battery. I would highly recommend these. The adhesive on the back works great. I would say the lights are pretty sensitive to sound if set on music mode. Yet always responds when the bass hits. Gotta say I love em. My only complaint would be the plastic tab in the battery of the remote is hard to pull out at first . But my aftermarket stereo remote has the same exact back and I had no problems. So it just may of been human error. I kind of cracked it pulling it out lol. If you're looking to add a little flair to your ride or just something cool for your kids to watch while you drive and listen to music; I would get this.

Just in time for summer!
This 4 pack of LED Strip Lights was very easy to install and they look great in my Ford Taurus! They were so easy to install because the strips come with 3M tape on the back. I just pulled the protective plastic off and applied two of them to the bottom of my dashboard on both sides of the front interior. The tape is strong enough to stick well to any surface and it will stay in place throughout high temperatures. The two light strips for the back also have tape on them but I didn't use it. Instead, I just sat them both on the floor for now because I rarely have people sit in the back and I haven't decided on a specific spot to stick them to yet. The wires are the perfect size and can be easily tucked away. There are 8 different RGB colors to choose from. Those colors are: red, green, blue, white, orange, yellow, cyan, and purple. Each colorsl can be displayed alone with no movement or can change with the beat of the music. I really enjoy the feature where the lights jump to the beat of whatever music your listening to because it looks so neat! There are 4 different sound sensitive light mode options and 4 automatic change mode options. The 4 automatic change modes consist of 2 jump modes and 2 fade control modes. The small remote control that comes with this kit is very convenient and works perfectly. I do wish that this kit came with a small piece of velcro so I could stick the remote to my dash but I found some at my local dollar store for just $2! I am really happy with my order and I highly recommend this kit to anyone looking for a cheaper and easier way to add lighting to any vehicle!

Worth it for the price
I specifically bought this product with the intent of hard wiring it into my fuse panel. The product works as intended but there are a few things others should know before purchasing. PROS- lights are bright, good variety of colors, exactly what I was looking for CONS- adhesive is absolutely terrible. You can fold it on itself and it would still come apart. The power cable that comes with it is very short. It is intended to be mounted in your 12v socket so I understand that at least. The wires inside are also VERY thin. If you are considering hard wiring this unit, another reviewer did a good job of describing the process. The only thing I'd add is I had to add about 2 feet of addition length to the power cable.

Love these lights!
I've had a lot of different LED lights like these over the years and these are my favorite. The LEDs are really bright but can dim low if you want. This is even with the smaller ones! I did have to splice in extra wire to reach the rear seats in my SUV. If you mount under the front seats, pointed towards the rear, it will light up the rear footwear fine and still have plenty of length left. I chose to hard wire these to the back of my 12v outlet so I could still use it to charge my phone. Easy to do if you have basic electrical knowledge. If you do these, be aware there are 4 separate wires that go to each light. They are an extremely small gauge, about the size that are inside a telephone cord. This can make it challenging to splice in so I recommend soldering the connections, using 20ga or higher to match the size, and using split loom to protect the wires and keep them together. My Uber riders love them!!!!!!

Great price point, but I wish it had sensitivity controls on the sound activated input.
These fun lights were easy to install and nice and bright! My only two disappointments are: 1)that you cannot adjust the sensitivity of the sound/music input, so the lights very quickly max out to all the sounds (car engine/road noise/etc.) to the point you cannot distinguish the beats of the music in the lighting. If the vehicle is moving at all, the lights are overloading at maximum output, flashing non-stop like a violent lightning storm. 2) There isn't a way to dim the light output in music/sound sensitivity modes. At night, the lights are too bright - it would be so much better if the brightness could be turned down. For the price, You get what you pay for. I have not found any setting to make the sound/music interaction work while driving, the lights always go to full intensity/output. I cannot enjoy the sound activated settings while driving. If I could, this would be 5-stars without a doubt.

It's cheap for a reason.
Was broken on arrival with no damage to the shipping container. Very poor quality soldering. Wasn't worth sending back so I parted it out and made something new.

good lights, fairly bright in daytime, great at night. If plugging into the 12v outlet disregard what im about to say. I wanted to hardwire these lights into my 12v system so i didnt have to take up my only 12v outlet, the easiest way to do this is to simply cut the wire coming from the plug going into the little converter box that has the lighting control. The wire is VERY thin, like im surprised how thin it is, i know its a cost saving thing but it makes getting a good connection hard, the wires as thin as a few strands of hair so unless you know what youre doing I woudnt do this as its easy to over strip or damage the wires and you dont have too much to work with in the first place. That being said after i got it hardwired its been working like a dream cant attest to reliability but its been good a month in

The LEDs themselves are bright, good quality. The housing is weak, mine already popped out when I was placing them in. The wires could be longer so I can place it easier and tie away cables when necessary. The cigarette lighter charger is trash. 0/5 stars for the lighter. Mine didn't even work. So the lower quality (which, by the way, is the same for all the other similar LED strips on amazon. It's all the same supplier, just rebranded) factored into my rating. If you're going to use them plugged in only, I would give these and all similar ones posted a 2 or 3 out of 5 stars tops, possibly even a 1 star if yours didn't work like mine. However, if you're going to hardwire them like I did, I would easily bump it up to a 4 or 5. Probably 4 because of low build quality but, for $21 CAD, I have no complaints and if they hold up, they're a solid 5 star to me. The adhesive didn't give me any problems like some here stated, but to be fair I stuck the rears under the seat without using the adhesive and the fronts were placed strategically on cleaned surfaces. Even so, you can always just buy mounting tape to fix it. Overall the cost of LEDs plus anything you need for hardwiring would be in the $40 range. A quick step-by-step guide on how to hardwire: 1) Cut the wire leading to the charger, and strip it. It'll be one (red) and one negative (black) cable. 2) Buy some fuses and some fuse piggybacks/taps. 3) Find your car's fusebox, ideally the one in the cabin. Mine is under my steering wheel to the left, videos of it available online. 4) Find the cigarette lighter fuse, or another fuse that turns on when the car turns on. Should be relatively easy. I used my "audio/mirror" or "power socket" one for easier fit, I can't remember which exactly (2011 infiniti g37). DO NOT USE A CRUCIAL FUSE LIKE AIRBAGS!!!!!! SERIOUSLY. OR ANY "CORE" ELECTRICAL COMPONENT LIKE STARTER. 5) Take out the fuse carefully. Put in your fuse tap. Place the EXACT SAME FUSE (15A for example) in the fuse spot, and as for the piggyback fuse (that you're hooking up to your LEDs), a 5A is sufficient. It shouldn't really be drawing more than 1A anyways. But I used a 5A I had lying around and have had no problems. 6) Connect the cable coming off the piggyback fuse to your negative terminal. Twist the wires together and electrical tape over them, or solder them. Or if they have a crimping thing, do that (I personally don't like those). Basically ensure that they are making full contact and wont vibrate loose. I soldered most as I tried to go for a very clean invisible look, and even drilled a little hole through my fuse box cover and passed the cable through before soldering. I will post pictures of all the places I wired and kept the driver/strips/connections for a 2011 Infiniti G37 Sedan for anyone with the same vehicle at some point. 7) Connect the black cable to any bare metal part in the cabin. There should be many. I used the base of my parking brake bracket. You might need to extend the negative cable. You can buy like 18 gauge cable or something from any local store or even amazon. I had some lying around from Canadian Tire. Just any primary wire will do. And that's it! Tuck your cables in, make sure the little IR receiver is visible, make sure everything works. This seems a little more complicated (it took me some time to set up properly), but I highly suggest it over just the cigarette lighter. To my fair mine wasn't working properly anyways, and when I opened it up, I saw that it was a very low quality one that I personally wouldn't trust plugged in 24/7. In the future when I do my headlights, I might pass the positive cable into my engine bay fuse box and wire them up to the low beams or fog lights so these only turn on at night but currently they are on 24/7 and during the day, they aren't even noticeable, and at max brightness at night they aren't distracting. I keep mine purple to match OEM lighting. Future additions might be adding in a small microphone and some variable resistors so the lights dim with music, as the music function on this is useless.

PROS Lights are bright, and a perfect size for under dash or seats, colours are spot on, wiring is sufficient for a sedan CONS Adhesive is aweful, remote infrared is fairly difficult to place inconspicuously, and big red power button has to be pressed at lighter All in all, if you're even remotely handy, you can make this work for this price!

I was excited when I finally received this product. My brother and I spent a good 2 hours installing it in my car. At first we checked the lights. They were working well. But what didn’t work was the remote control it came with. It worked maybe twice then when we tried to change the colours and check all the buttons, it wouldn’t change anymore. I would have given a 5 star. But because now I can’t change the colour I removed 2. It was easy to install and I like the brightness. I just can’t change it back to the ideal solid colour.
