This is by far the easiest gel to take down for me taste and texture wise. Doesn’t affect my stomach at all. I have used these for several marathons and long runs. I’ve tried dozens of other gels out there and these are the only that remain constant for me. They’re pricier, but to me they’re totally worth it to buy for races because I know the quality is great and they’ll keep me going the whole race. I’m my opinion, the consistency is a cross between marshmallow and jello and it has a very mild sweet flavor that doesn’t stick in your mouth.

This gel revolutionized my running. Literally the best source of fuel on the long runs. Zero stomach issues. Light and acceptable flavor. No aftertaste. Great fuel!

This gel is amazing! I was highly skeptical due to the price, but considering every other gel was causing me stomach issues, I had to try it. I used this as my main fuel during triathlon training, and it never failed to keep me going. I was concerned about the taste and texture, but ultimately thought it tasted like a straight sugar jelly. I was eventually able to incorporate Honey Stinger gels into my regimen as well, but if I was ever having an off day stomach wise--- I was so grateful to have these in my arsenal.

The texture of this gel is definitely unlike any other, it's more like a jelly than the applesauce texture of other gels. Sugar content is good and to me, the taste is better than a lot of other brands. Definitely on the pricier side so I don't use them as often as I would if they were cheaper but I definitely think it's worth it for more important races.

Used these in my first half marathon. I recommend trying them out before your race obviously, but I never had a problem with these from the beginning. I definitely believe they help during the race and training. No complaints.

Love Maurten! I’ve use them for years. A little pricey for every training day, but they are a race day must!

The gel is good. I like the relatively bland taste. Some people don't like the consistency, but I'm fine with it except...when ripping these open riding my tri bike they often open only a corner. Maurten gel doesn't flow like most gels and it can hang in my teeth for quite a while before I get the packet emptied. This is not a problem during the run. I have no stomach upset with Maurten products and their advice about taking 1 white Cal100+caf100 per 2 hours is spot on with my calc of caffeine half-life to maintain optimum blood levels. The Maurten 160s are a bit tall and sometimes hang out of my bento box far enough to hit my knees. I love the color distinction between the Cal100 and Cal100+caf100 gel packs! You can yell "White Gel!" or "Brown Gel!" and actually get what you want from volunteers:).
