This works fantastic. Doesn’t bother animals, fairly small and portable while succeeding in multiple purposes. I would not leave it outside, very steal-able. I moved and I’m having issues with fleas at my new house. The flea treatment for my dog and cat aren’t working as well in this new area, so I’ve needed some extra support. My cat loves it, and sits next to the lamp. Which is perfect since technically the fleas should be urged to jump from animal to light if they float near it. I would imagine the same thing with my dog if she decided to sleep near it. I’ve also been using it as a nightlight in my bedroom. Meshes with my other RGB lights that illuminate at night. Very peaceful, provides great ambience. It also is fairly silent, so you will hear a “psst” sound rather than a loud “zzzipp” from higher powered/older styles. If you go camping, this is a must. Micro USB style plug, rechargeable battery that may-or-may not last 16 hours. Even for a house nightlight this works great, it’s easily cleanable with the included brush and bugs definitely like jumping in it. STEM products are becoming the go-to option for me when I need to deal with bugs. They all work so well.

did not seem to work at all for me. in about 5 days of leaving it outside all day except for charging i zapped about 5 flies. not a very good ration. i even tried adding food to the bottom of the unit to help improve my odds - no luck. figured i cannot return after adding food to the bottom so i will have to call this a loss on my investment.

It works great on flies. We have had a problem since new construction in the area last year left all the homeowners dealing with swarms of flies both outside and inside. We have tried the Sticky sheet lighted ones that do not seem to catch a lot. And a bigger plug-in zapper. Both only work when you have an outlet nearby. These charge and can be moved where the bugs are. We are finding that to be the best solution. They are easy to clean and last overnight at least on a full charge. And we have seen a big reduction inside. We have one hanging by the kitchen sink, and two in bedrooms out of reach of pets. Much better than chemical solutions.

Maybe buy a rechargeable battery for this, it comes with a USB and imo, needs to be charged often. May last 6 hours or so. It does its job well though!

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I used the Blue light glue traps (the ones that you plug into the outlet) I don’t have very many outlets in my apartment so I bought this to put in places that have gnats or fruit flies but no outlet near by. This trap didn’t impress me like the other products I’ve tried from STEM. Catches bugs: I noticed it does catch a FEW, but not like my STEM glue traps. Battery life: The battery dies a lot faster, I think I’ve had it for around 2 weeks. It stays on for maybe 2-3 hours, then I need to charge it again. Not very effective because I don’t work from home. That means you need someone there to charge it constantly to be effective.

Works !!!!! Easy. And Easy to clean with lil brush. No noise. Small and can be placed anywhere.

Oh it’s a trap alright a trap from Amazon to buy this stupid thing This goes great with my decor in my house LOL stupid thing don’t work I’ve had it a few weeks and nothing unless I have smart flies it don’t clean nothing .. all it does is waste my energy by charging the stupid thing and then it’s so small .. so if you buy this buy trash bags as well to throw the stupid thing away !!!!!

Love the idea of rechargeable for areas with no plug, but this did not hold a long enough charge in my opinion. Does kill bugs for the time that it stayed charged.
