I bought these after being extremely disappointed in the Apple AirPods Pro 3 whose fit (poor seal) and sound quality (too trebly, overcooked) are not for me. I had been curious about the Panasonic AZ100 for a while, and I should have trusted my gut because these are what earbuds should sound like . I been an owner of a Technics turntable from the 70's I inherited from my grandfather that still works, and I've been using high-end Panasonic cameras for the last decade. I had to get over my dependence on the Apple ecosystem and these buds function very well on iPhone as I've had no connectivity issues. The way these buds sit in your upper ear is way more comfortable and secure fit. The ANC feels nearly on par with Apple due to the better fit not leaking noise. It still has some areas where it could be better, but for earbuds this is sufficient. The sound quality is the real winner here, even with a flat EQ the range contains a nice balance of rich bass, clear mids, and appropriate treble. The easy to use app allows for multiple EQ customizations, and easy assignment of multi-tap functions. I found setting the volume down to double-tap on the left and volume up on the right to be a more efficient/reliable functionality than the slider bar haptic on the AirPods. Phone calls seems clear, will have to test more with the microphone in different environments. The case is nice and sturdy, also a nice compact size. Everything here feels like a quality build. And yes there is a charging cable included! Battery life is also very impressive, much longer than APP3 especially on the case. If your priority is sound quality and comfort then these earbuds are for you.

I have been through a few earbuds. Had Bose Quietcomfort 2, Sony WF 1000XM5 and tried Technics AZ80. In the end I settled on AZ100, and they are the best in my opinion. My thoughts on each: Bose Quietcomfort 2 - the noise cancelling is amazing, way best of all earbuds. They are comfortable and pleasant on the ear, but sound is average. It is warm and bassy, but lacks detail. Pleasant though. Lack wireless charging. Technics AZ80 - almost very good, sound decent and are comfortable, high quality materials and finish, but still lack some detail. Good, but not the best Sony WF 1000XM5 - those were almost my favorite sound wise, the most detailed, could hear tiny little sounds in the background. Bass sounded a bit artificial though, and they had issues with connectivity. During the day would drop signal for split second many times a day (probably due to the fact I carry 2 phones, incl company one) I found it too annoying. Technics AZ100 - clear winners for me. Sound is great, maybe not quite as detailed as Sony, but a lot juicier and powerful and spacious. They are not cheap, but worth the price in my opinion. Just wish the built quality was as nice as AZ80. But love them, so pleasant and powerful. EDIT: after 10 weeks left earbud stopped charging. Tried cleaning it etc, did not help. I did a factory reset of them via the app and so far it is back to normal.

These are amazing earbuds. I have never had an "expensive" pair of buds before and never really thought they would be worth it, but I was wrong. The sound quality from these buds is amazing, I can hear individual instruments clearly for the first time in "ever" really. The noise cancelling is excellent, I can listen to tunes in a busy supermarket and it blocks EVERYTHING from outside. The transparency mode works well but mostly at lower sound levels, playing music on high and 80% transparency, I can mostly just hear the music but voices came through pretty well. Used the buds for calls while out walking and the quality is ok ish...I could hear the other person fine but the person who I was talking to could barely hear me and I had to end the call because of this and call back when I was somewhere quieter. The fit is decent and doesn't hurt my ears after being in for hours. You get loads of different size buds so should be good for most ear sizes. The case is light, small and pretty sleek with a metal finish, and will easily fit in a pocket or purse. All in all a decent set of buds.

Intanto una distinzione doverosa tra auricolari e gioielli tecnologici. Per tale ragione questi ultimi costano dieci volte più dei primi. Poi, avendo già deciso che i Technics EAH-AZ80 sono in definitiva i migliori se paragonati ai loro diretti competitors di fascia che posseggo (Sennheiser MTW4, Apple AirPods Pro 2 generazione, K-Array Duetto KD6BT, Jabra Elite 85t e Bose QC Ultra), in questa recensione mi soffermerò soprattutto sulla differenza tra gli AZ80 e questi nuovi Technics AZ100 e se valga la pena di fare l’upgrade di questi gioiellini della leggendaria marca che da oltre una decina d’anni appartiene alla nipponica Panasonic. Cominciamo dicendo che io ho acquistato gli AZ100 un mese dopo aver preso gli AZ80 con l’idea di fare il reso di quelli che mi avrebbero convinto meno…, ho deciso di tenerli entrambi! Il confronto: - Audio: Entrambi i modelli offrono audio di alta qualità, ma l'AZ100 supporta Dolby Atmos e audio spaziale (e si sente!), offrendo un'esperienza sonora più immersiva. Sarà per il driver a fluido magnetico, ma l’audio è veramente ECCEZIONALE!! Ovviamente parlo di qualità; se proprio volete spararvi musica con volume a manetta nelle orecchie, allora bastano anche degli auricolari da €40 tipo gli ottimi Sony WF510, per avere soddisfazione. - Cancellazione del rumore: l'AZ100 ha una modalità di cancellazione del rumore adattativa, che offre una cancellazione del rumore più naturale in vari ambienti rumorosi. C’è pure la possibilità di cancellare il rumore ambientale della persona con cui si sta parlando al telefono! La ricezione della propria voce, a detta dell’interlocutore, è perfetta. - Durata della batteria: l'AZ100 ha una durata della batteria più lunga rispetto agli AZ80, con 12 ore contro 7,5 ore, quasi il doppio! - Design: come si può vedere dalle foto, gli AZ100 (quelli neri) sono più piccoli e leggeri, rendendoli più comodi per un uso prolungato. Non facendo attività sportive non mi esprimo sulla loro tenuta, ma posso dire che mi devo sforzare per realizzare di averli indosso! Anche la custodia è più piccola. - Prezzo: gli AZ100 (€299) sono più costosi degli AZ80 (pagati €229), ma offrono funzionalità aggiuntive e miglioramenti significativi, addirittura nella stessa app dov, tra l’altro, appare un equalizzazione a sette bande e la possibilità di selezionare la lingua italiana nel ricevere i messaggi vocali di controllo. Rimangono la connessione triple point, l’integrazione con Alexa. Unico inconveniente: quando si settano le impostazioni per avere il miglior audio possibile, ne risente ovviamente il lato visivo ed è praticamente difficile vedersi un film o un video dal momento che il suono arriva fuori sincrono. Io però ho aggirato il problema dedicando l’uso degli AZ100 esclusivamente all’ascolto! In sintesi, se non aveste ancora dei gioielli per audiofili potreste comprare tranquillamente i Technics EAH-AZ100 perché sono senza dubbio i migliori in circolazione, e se invece avete già gli AZ80 allora cominciate a pensare subito all’upgrade!!

Ich vergleiche mit Technics EAH AZ80, Sennheiser True Wireless InEar Momentum 4 (kurz "Sennis") Zuspieler: iBasso DX 240 DAP (hat sogar LDAC), Sony Xperia 1 V (LDAC), iPhone 14 (nur AAC). Inbetriebname der AZ100: die Standard vormontierten Silikonstöpel passten hier am Besten. Beim AZ80 waren es die XL. Der AZ100 sitzt halt tiefer im Ohr. Aus dem Case nehmen ist etwas fummelig weil die im kleineren Case auf Grund ihrer kleineren Größe und des gut haftenden Magneten etwas überredet werden möchten mit spitzen Fingern rausgenommen zu werden. Alle Geräte haben die AZ100 nach Öffnen des Cases bereits zum Koppeln gefunden. Klappt einwandfrei. Technics Connect App laden oder updaten. Dolby Atmos kommt als Funktion ggü den AZ80 dazu. Tragekomfort: bei mir einwandfrei. tief und sicher drin, stundenlanges Tragen ohne Drücken, auch beim Sport. Bedienung via Touch: besser,treffsicherer als bei den AZ80. Ansonsten bin ich kein Touch Fan. Meine inzwischen defekten Jabra Elite 75 mit Druckknopf sind da das Mass der Dinge. Auch die Sennis sind mit Touch nur logischer bei der Laut/Leise Verstellung. Bluetooth Verbindung: einwandfrei durch mehrere Räume hindurch. Wie bei den AZ80 auch schon. Die Sennis haben ja ständig mit Connectivitätsproblemen zu kämpfen mit in Folge Hard-Resets und Neueinstellung. Klang: Alle 3 KH klingen richtig gut. Der AZ80 und AZ100 unterscheiden sich im Klang fundamental. Der AZ80 eher kantig,konturiert, im Hochton eher begrenz im Vergleich zu den anderen 2. Hier muss der EQ etwas nachhelfen. Der AZ80 klingt im Vergleich und absolut zu den 2 anderen ganz weich, warm, umhüllend, silky, feinstens im Hochton auflösend ohne harsch zu sein, er klingt etwas neutraler im Vergleich wenn man das von so extrem gesoundeten Raumklang Pieces sagen kann. Die 3 zu hören ist wohl auch Stimmungs abhängig und vom Material, Streaming Plattform und dem Codec der gerade erforderlich ist. In der Auflösung und im Raumklang sind der AZ100 und der Sennis die Monster. Beide! Im Bass finde ich den AZ100, im Vergleich zum Senni und dem Musikmaterial eher weicher. Das liegt vor allem daran, dass der Senni die "Soundpersonalisierung" hat. Das ist der absolute Game Changer. Ohne den braucht man den Senni nicht einschalten. Der hat auch noch einen EQ der echt gut ist und viel bringt aber die Soundperso hebt den Senni über alles hinweg weil man ihn so sensibel,stimmig auf jeden KH Charakter abstimmen kann und man sich seine eigene Räumlichkeits, Hochton/Mitten und Bassbalance einstellen kann wie man mag. Den AZ100 habe ich im EQ auf "Dynamic" eingestellt. Finde ich am stimmigsten wenn man etwas Dampf möchte. Ich finde den AZ100 in den Lautstärkereserven recht begrenzt. Der Senni hat deutlich mehr. Bei Tidal ist mir das je nach Zuspieler (beim iBasso DX240 mehr Reserven) schon mal zu wenig. Der Senni überfleigt die beiden Technics durch die Soundperso bei Tidal mit einem reglelrechten Soundboost. Vollkommen abgefahren was da abgeht! Fantastisch! Bei Youtube Musikvideos kommen die AZ100 aber plötzlich richtig aus dem Quark und schließen zu den Sennis auf. Hier faszinieren die mit dem Boost bei Räumlichkeit, Wärme, allerfeinsten, reichen Höhen,Wärme, Ausgewogenheit, schöne Mitten und Stimmen. Da habe ich die eine oder andere Gänsehaut auf dem Rücken gehabt. Die Sennis knallen noch mehr und sind anders fantastisch räumlich, aber härter. Dolby Atmos finde ich beim AZ100 überflüssig, wird nicht verwendet. Das senkt nochmals die Lautstärkereserve und die Räumlichkeit der AZ100 ist auch im normalen Modus sehr sehr lecker. Bei Radiostreaming via Neutron, Audials etc pp geht das je nach Sender,Auflösung, codec zwischen Senni und AZ100 so hin u her. Stimmungs u Geschmackabhängig. Will man warm, weich, etwas zurückhaltender nimmt man den AZ100. Hätte der Technics so eine Soundperso wie Sennheiser, wäre das vollkommen irre. Ein EQ kommt da nicht ran. Da läuft mehr ab. Ob ich den AZ80 noch hören werde? Ich muß mal schauen. Muss ich noch a bisserl probieren. Für Tidal nehme ich die Sennis und ansonsten, wie Youtube, auch die AZ100. Der iBasso DX 240 löst alles noch feiner auf und hat mehr Dampf ggü dem Xperia 1V-beide mit LDAC. Für unterwegs ist natürlich das X1V da. Noise Cancelling: beim AZ100 bin ich mit noch keiner Einstellung richtig angekommen. Ohne NC klingen die AZ100 grottig und flach. Mit NC, ob adaptive oder iwie stufenlos eingestellt bekommen die erst ihr Fundament und die Fülle. Da bin ich mit dem Sennis und den AZ80 bereits zufriedener. Aber ich probiere noch weiter. Akku; bei den AZ80 bin ich nach Stunden bereits öfter zum Nachladen aufgefordert worden (ICE HH-Munich). Bei den Sennis nie. Die AZ100 trage ich gerade sehr viel, habe NC an, höre stundenlang und die Akkus waren nie unter 40%. Also bereits besser als die AZ80. Die AZ100 kann ich aber rundum empfehlen. Feinste Auflösung mit viel Spass, Musikalität, Tragekomfort, Akku Ausdauer, problemloses Bluetooth, Kopplung mit 3 Geräten ohne Probleme. Schön kleines Case für die Hosentasche dennoch. Die Sennheiser würde ich zwar durch die nach Belieben klanglich anpassbare Soundperso als noch überlegener bezeichnen. Musikalisch (etwas neutraler ab Werk) sind die AZ100 aber durch den noch weicheren Hochtonbereich. Bass kann der Senni deutlich mehr. Mit Kontur oder ohne, je nach Abstimmung. Mittelton sind beide kompleet unterschiedlich aber reizvoll. Man hat in jedem Falle Kulisse im Kopf, hinter dem Kopf, in den Ohren, drumrum und schön auf eigene Art u Weise gestaffelt. Man kann bei Beidem dem Klang zusehen. Update: die AZ100er wieder retour gesendet. Waeum? Der Bass war mir im Vergleich zum AZ80er und den Sennheiser doch zu dünn zumeist. Obwohl der such fett kann. Via EQ habe ich das nicht gut eliminieren können. Der 100er ist eher Richtung Hochton und Feisntauflösing unterwegs. Habe den AZ80 per EQ im Hochton nochmal neu abgestimmt. Mit den viel fülligeren Bass, auch wenn etwas dunkler klingend als der 100er finde ich den auf Dauer stimmiger. Aber ausschlaggebend war der Sennheiser. Per Soundpersonalisierung nochmal neu abgestimmt und tja, der Senni übefliegt die alle. Für mich deutlich der beste TW InEar derzeit bzw von denen die ich kenne. Der macht einfach nur süchtig weil der alles kann mit Zusatzboost.

Quizá no tengan el carácter tan “emocionante” de unos OnePlus Buds Pro 3, pero transmiten precisión y limpieza, ideales para escuchar de todo con fidelidad. La construcción es sólida y el ajuste estable, aunque requieren colocación cuidadosa por su tamaño. Los controles son fiables, la aplicación es completa y la autonomía es suficiente para uso diario, aunque no sobresaliente frente a competidores. Donde realmente brillan es en el conjunto global: pocos auriculares logran un balance tan redondo entre sonido, ANC y transparencia. Pros: ANC de referencia, transparencia natural, sonido detallado y equilibrado, buena app. Contras: tamaño algo voluminoso; menos “divertidos” en perfil sonoro que otros modelos; autonomía correcta pero no líder. Conclusión: unos de los mejores TWS del mercado si valoras silencio real y una transparencia usable de verdad. Un producto maduro y redondo, con identidad propia.

Absolutely the best earbuds I have ever owned. Significantly better than Airpods 2 Pro!!! They are pricey but if you are looking in this price segment, then consider these. The soundstage is impressive and there is lots of details. Lovers of a strong bass also won’t be disappointed…
