I am a huge fan of the Modern Calligraphy Company. This book is a great introduction, and focuses on practice through different pieces rather than endless drills. I’d recommend the companies brush pen to practice with, but the book gives guidance on other products to purchase.

Another Ace book!
It’s beautiful! I’ve already worked through Kirsten Burke’s other book Secrets of Modern Calligraphy (which I utterly loved!!) have just skimmed through this one not tried the projects yet, but it seems like it’s very well set out, I really like the tone that is used, chatty and relaxed, but also putting across a lot of useful information and advice.
