Brilliant bit of kit, very well made and lightweight. We hammered these today winter rock fishing in Anglesey, North Wales straight out of the box. Lovely to cast with and very compact, easily fit two rods in a small rucksack. I would recommend upgrading the line to something a bit more heavyweight on Anglesey as you get a 12lb braided line and no shock leader, having said that we only lost two of the supplied lures due to snags. The swivels and clips are sufficient for small targets maybe in clear water but upgrading to something slightly more heavyweight again would give you greater piece of mind when reeling through the weeds. To summarise, very well made, excellent value for money, compact and lightweight…just ditch the tackle box it comes with and invest in some decent lures. Tight lines everybody!

I have no knowledge of fishing!! Bought for a gift so all I can say is it arrived extremely quickly, it looks good quality, is very lightweight, compact and could be taken on days out on the boat easily. Only downside is that if it was me having to rig it all up I wouldn’t have a clue as the instructions seem pointless! I will update once it’s been gifted and I get feedback!

Really awful product. Snapped on first use. Very very disappointing. Very much hoping the vendor will give me my money back. A worthless product.

Bought this for my son and he keeps it in his car in case he is out and about and spots a good place to fish. He absolutely loves it and said the quality is great, so pleased with it we bought my husband one too.

Initially I was happy with what I had bought but after 3 times of use the reel seized up and when I tried to free it the handle snapped. Poor quality if I'm honest 😪

Rod works great. Easy to assemble and use. Caught dozens of catfish over 3 days without a problem. Kids (11) and adults used it. The little suitcase it comes in is cool; I felt like Clive Owen in the Bourne Identity when I was assembling the rod. But instead of trying to kill Jason Bourne, I was succeeding in catching catfish. The handle came off (user error) and fell in the river. I went to a fancy tackle shop near the river to ask about a replacement, and was sneered at for buying a Chinese fishing rod on Amazon (to be fair, everything about me exudes "city slicker" so the sneering was probably as much that as anything). No replacement was offered. When we got back, I contacted the seller and they replaced it without charge in fewer than 5 days. Amazing customer service.

I am waiting for my reel and rod ... am afraid now after last reviews read .. I will report when I get it.. praying for it will be good ..
