Compact, Keeps Heat Long, Very Stylish, a Keeper!
Sleek, fits in your purse and drink holders. Lovely color, a bluish green, not the turquoise blue in the photo. I like the green. Lid comes apart in two pieces, very easy to clean. Looks stylish in design, compact, light. Keeps liquids warm a long time about 8 hrs. Not as long as my Thermos flask, but long enough for a day out. If you fill to the top, it stays warm longer. I half-fill it with coffee, and it still stays warm a very long time. Price could be cheaper. But it is excellent quality and I am very pleased.

Maintains temperature
These are very nice and maintain temperature very well. Hot coffee is still very hot 4 hours later. It closes securely with no leaks. The lock is nice if you're dropping it in a bag or something. Looks great and is just an all around well made item. I ended up ordering a couple more.

High Quality, Easy to Clean
Bought this to replace a similar GSI stainless steel 16 Oz bottle that had finally been dropped a few too many times. Very happy with the Zoji after over 6 months of use. I bought the smokey blue 16 oz. Like the tall/slim design, comfortable to hold, love the color. Easy to open the lid and comfortable to drink from. Keeps water and ice cold for a very long time, ice will stay frozen overnight. Easy to disassemble the top for cleaning, much easier than the old GSI.

It never leaks, it's effortless to use one-handed, it keeps drinks HOT! A perfect mug!
I will confess first, before I begin, that I have a pretty strong bias toward Japanese products. This is going back to the days when Sony had no equal in electronics, and when Toyota/Honda were leading the small car revolution. With that said, please forgive me if I sound too impressed with this home run of a mug purchase. I had heard that zojirushi made good products, but I've had some bad travel mugs and figured it could have been just another cash-in on brand power. I ordered the stainless steel 12oz because I needed a small one for easy travel (most of my travel is on foot or on bike, living in a big city and all), and when it came, I did thorough investigation of its capabilities. Immediately, I went to the kitchen sink. I filled the mug with water, sealed on the cap, locked the lid, and proceeded to turn it sideways, hold it upside-down, swing it around, shake it vigorously (while still upside-down too!), I pretty much did everything I could, short of anything that might damage the mug. Not a single drop came close to wetting my hand or anywhere else. I even wiped the counter with a rag afterward, just to see if I missed something. It was bone-dry. Next came Coffee. I love coffee, drinking several cups a day and switching to decaf so I can drink more in the afternoon and after dinner. I filled this mug up with fresh coffee, and even half an hour later I almost had to nurse drinking it to avoid burning myself; The coffee was practically just as hot as when I had poured it. I proceeded to comfortably drink hot coffee for several hours without any need to reheat or refill my mug (except of course, for more coffee). Amusingly, it even kept coffee hot longer than the insulated coffee pot did! (funny that one, maybe I should get a zojirushi coffee maker too) Lastly, the ease of operations challenge. They claim that it's easy to open this mug, drink, and then close it, all with one hand. I will admit, at first it took me a little bit of getting used to the operation, but within a few days at most I was using it fluidly with one hand, which was perfect for my commute, or when shopping at busy downtown markets. I could walk through thick crowds (this is pre-covid of course) and not have any problems with opening it, drinking more coffee, and closing it. Of course, it was still hot even when walking in the nippy winter air. This really is my idea of a perfect travel mug. You can't make it leak (even when you throw it sideways into a purse for a few hours), you really can use it one-handed, and it really does keep the drinks hot. I've done tea in this as well and it was just as good an experience; Never tried hot cocoa as zojirushi advises against milk products being used (If I recall correctly, it was something to do with the pressurized, sealed containers being able to build pressure due to milk doing what milk does). Regardless, what I've asked of it, the mug has proceeded to do with flying colors. I cannot recommend this mug strongly enough. If you ever find yourself wanting to have a small, reliable, and easy-to-use travel mug, then you cannot go wrong with zojirushi.

Expensive, but SO worth it!
I had this on my wishlist for at least three months. It sounded so good, but could I really justify paying that much for what is essentially a travel mug? No, I thought. I can't, especially since I have a perfectly serviceable one (but not one that had a locking top!) Finally, the price came down a bit and I decided to buy it. And I have to say now, this is worth every penny. First, it does exactly what it says. It keeps things hot and cold. As it should. But I was astounded by exactly how long it would keep things hot and cold. First, the hot. It keeps things so hot that I have ended up not using it for hot things so much, because they often don't cool down enough to become drinkable unless I leave the top off for awhile. I'm not even bothering to prime the thing either, by pouring hot water in it first--I'm talking about just pouring in very hot coffee. Or once I poured in just boiled water for tea. That was way too hot to drink and it took too long to cool to make it drinkable (even with the little drinking spout open). So it is a star on keeping things hot, but you really need to test this out at home to find a comfortable drinking temperature, or you may burn yourself. At first, I wasn't that impressed by the cold temperatures. I put in some iced tea that had been in the refrigerator and was cold, but not super cold, and it seemed to me my tea quickly became tepid. Same happened with some water. So I decided to prime the mug with very cold water and a little ice before putting in cold things, and this did the trick perfectly. And in fact, it is also a star on keeping things cold. On a recent road trip, I put some ice water in the mug at 11 p.m. At 10 a.m, I still had ice in there, so I just added some more cold water. At 11 pm, when I finally finished off my water, there was still a few pieces of ice--24 hours later! And it was sitting in a cup holder in the sun in the car for several hours! So especially if you prime it for cold, this mug will keep things at temperature for so many hours it is almost unbelievable. It's also easy to clean, and the mug top comes apart easily for cleaning. Also, I love the fact that you can lock the lid so it doesn't open and then store it in a backpack or bag. I do this all the time. It does not leak. It is also easy to drink out of. Overall, this is by the far the best insulated container I've ever had, and I love it. It is worth everything I paid for it and more. The only flaw for me is more about my car than about the mug--it's a narrow little thing, and it doesn't fit well into the cup holders in my older Subaru. But like I said, that's the car, not the mug, and I can adjust. If you're even considering this, buy it. You'll be glad you did.

By far the best thermo bottle and I've tried them all = Yeti, Hydroflask, Stanley, Contigo, Laken, Thermos... Zojirushi beats them all = lightweight but keep beverages hot or cold for hours, very comfortable and 100% leak proof, reliable andong lasting... Simply the best, period!

It really is the best travel mug. The lock is leak proof, the bottle keeps the heat for hours. We've had a few of them over the years and always repurchase (once one gets worn out or lost!). This is a small size, but it is perfect for having a bit of tea or coffee on the go.

Snygg men håller inte värmen lika bra som sina föregångare. Helt ok.

Las bebidas están calientes incluso despues de 8h! Despues de 2-3h casi como lo has preparado. Es diseño muy durable. la única desventaja: un poco dificil limpiar la parte donde se bebe.
