Cool knife, always wanted one

Handy, inexpensive gravity knife. Worth its price but not without flaw.
While it isn't as high quality as a Reate Exo, this knife is 1/8th the price. It is well designed as a backup knife; able to be deployed or stowed with a single hand. It is a very handy size, and comfortable in my hands. As a couple of the other reviews didn't understand how this sort of knife works, let me 'splain. One of the side panels locks the blade into place. You slide the panel out of way with your thumb, keeping the opening pointed downwards and the blade will slide out of the handle. Release the panel and it springs back into place, locking the blade. I personally find this mechanism easier to use than traditional folding knives, though you need to be careful to keep the blade opening pointed somewhere safe when deploying the blade. To close it is the same as opening. Slide the panel open, point the blade upwards and it will slide into the handle. I'm a bit dubious about the durability of the hilt, as it is aluminum that is locking the steel blade nub into place. Eventually the aluminum will deform; how long that takes I don't know yet. I'm also curious how long the spring on the slide hinge will last (Though I like the spring action, makes it even easier to use which may matter to people with poor coordination.) All in all I recommend this knife for someone that wants an inexpensive gravity knife to stash in a glovebox, or tool kit. There is no belt clip, and the sheath it comes with has its loop in the wrong direction for good belt storage. So while not perfect, it s GREAT for its price.

Not to bad, amazing fidget toy!
Not sure how good of a knife it is, definitely convenient around the house to Open packages and such. It's fairly sharp out of the package. It's an awesome fidget toy though! I bought one for both of my sons (adults) to play with too.

Not a dependable EDC blade.
Decent build quality but the sliding mechanism tends to get stuck over time if you keep deploying the blade too often. You will have to tighten the screw that keeps it in place then it's all good again. Not a big deal but super annoying. Can't really recommend it as a EDC blade.

A very nice clone
This is a decent clone of the Reate exo gravity knife at a fraction of the cost of the original. Overall I'm very happy, would be better if it had a belt clip but I understand the design choice. Came stupidly sharp from the factory and opens nice and smooth. This is not a knife you hand a non-knife person but is cool and welcome in my collection!

An affordable Reate EXO compettitor
What a beautiful blade, housing, and deployment. Pros: very sharp blade out of box, beautiful housing for the blade and blade deployment is smooth and feels solid. Cons: after deploying the blade I did notice that there is some play when using the knife. It's minor but the blade will shift and up and down and side to side but it feels negligible. The blade housing could be a little longer, it feels like it could slip out of grip during aggressive use. I have small hands for a man. I'm 5'8". Final thoughts: I think this is a solid and affordable competitor for those unable to afford the high price tag for a Reate EXO. The housing could be longer and there could be less play after deployment.

Tactical, survival, no. Gadget or gift, yes.
This knife is nowhere close to being any type of tactical or survival knife. The shape is all wrong for your hand to hold on to the opening mechanism is to gadgetee to get open fast or rely on under any force. Quality, for the time I played with it was ok, other than the blade being loose from side to side, which is probably due to the sliding mechanism and low price. I don't think they are going to put roller bearings down both sides of the slide for this money. Overall the knife is not a serious knife, it's a novelty, something for the knife collector who just wants something different, or someone who wants to fidget with a knife (it does still have a blade) or a gift, because it does come with a nice box, just don't look for a serious knife.

Nice Looking Gold-Colored Knife with Premium 154CM Steel Blade
When I saw the gold-colored knife described as having a premium 154CM steel blade for less than $30, I decided to order it to try out the different blade opening feature. The knife looks nice and the blade opens as described. I have not used the sheath, which could be considered to be concealing the knife. The state law here defines a "switchblade knife" to include a gravity knife and switchblade knives are prohibited from being carried concealed. The Gravityard knife does not have a lanyard hole to facilitate carrying the knife openly and unconcealed. So I have only used the knife in my home. Hopefully, the law elsewhere is not as restrictive.
