Great sound for the price!
In general the guitar is fine and sounds great for the price. But two small details are horrible. The logo on the headstock has a stain on the G and the D. And there is a tiny crack in the wood in the back at the edge on the lower side. Maybe related to transportation.

Worth every penny
I've been playing over 30 years and researched this guitar well before purchasing. Sparse packaging for such a long journey but it was done well with no shipping damage. The guitar was lighter and felt smaller than I anticipated, I was thinking of a big workhorse of an instrument, it felt almost delicate when I unboxed it. I tuned it up played until all the strings were stretched out and back in tune and it held the tune perfectly after an hour of play. The action is wonderful, reminds me of another major upscale brand that would have been quite a bit more expensive. The sound so far is light and bright, not sure if guitars have a new guitar sound like cars have a new car smell, but this was like playing a new guitar at the store, only you own this one. The lightness really makes the guitar part of your body rather than beating on a big heavy wooden box. It won't be my last guitar, it's not perfect but it certainly will get a LOT of play. The black binding that holds the instrument together was expected to be all black, but it has some white pinstriping that I think makes it look prettier. This did not come with a case as some unboxing videos have shown. At this price point I was not expecting a real attention to detail and craftsmanship, and sadly there is an assembly build flaw. Another customer posted the same issue with a small separation in the body, his had the flaw on the back which I wish mine had. Unfortunately mine is on the front, right where your arm rests, so every time the guitar is picked up and played it will rub against this separation and make it worse over time. I'm still giving it 5 stars for the price to sound and action comparison. If I wanted a blemish free instrument with this sound and playability, I could pay 2 or more likely 3 times this much for a Martin. I'll stick with this, very happy I did the research, watched the videos and chose the D-320. If you want a pretty showpiece, keep looking, if you want a campfire player's workhorse of an instrument, look no further.
