Great headsets for work
These are awesome, I’ve bought them for everyone in my office, they are great headsets and I like that they don’t cover your ear. The sound quality is really good and they cancel out noise. They are comfortable to use all day. They can get a full charge in about 10-15 minutes. I like that I can use them for work and can also connect them to my phone. The only thing i wish they did is that I could answer phone calls from my computer using the “answer button” they said it is a feature that may be available in the future. I highly recommend these.

Awesome headset!
This headset is fantastic! The fit is great and is very comfortable. The sound quality and functionality is amazing. It is very light weight and super easy to use. It comes with a nice carrying case and the price point is the best part. I would definitely recommend.

Excellent earphones
These earphones are a bit expensive, but its quality is definitely superior. Bone conduction is great, you can stay with them for hours without feeling uncomfortable. After trying many different options these are the best. Long battery life after charging, excellent sound quality and you can pair them with your PC and smartphone.

Pretty Good Headset for Work
This is a great headset to use for digital phones (such as phones through your computer). My company's phone system is through Zoom. I also use this headset for web meetings, online training courses, webinars, and phone calls. I use this headset heavily and for multiple hours each work day. . . sometimes for a full 8+ hours. Pros: Charges very fast Battery life is good and lasts for 8+ hours of use Lightweight on the head (forget it's on) Open ear design means I don't have to take my headset off when not using it. I leave it on all day. Sound is pretty good for calls and web meetings, etc. Others have verified the sounds is good on their end, too. Noise cancelling works pretty well. Cons: Sometimes my temples get sore just from the headset sitting there over long periods of time (The headset gently 'squeezes' your head to stay on) The audio is good. . . but not as good as my personal AfterShokz headset that I use for running / working out even though it was more expensive. Sometimes the audio volume level seems to be inconsistent. Sometimes when I turn on the headset, the volume on my phone is way too low or way too high and I seem to have to adjust the volume pretty frequently. I have not yet used this headset via bluetooth with my computer of phone. It does have multi-pairing functionality, though. I use this headset with the USB-C dongle plugged into my computer. In general, I do like the headset especially because I don't like traditional headsets that go on top of your head. It works well, pretty consistently (plug and play), and lasts a long time. It is lightweight on the head so I can wear it all day.

These are not audiophile quality headphones, but they are excellent for calls and meetings
I've tested the OpenRun headset at a major sporting goods outlet on several occasions. I found them to be very comfortable with decent sound quality. A few months ago my work headset started to fail so I began researching a replacement. I wear this headset a minimum of 9 hours a day, sometimes 6 days a week, so I needed a comfortable headset. I also had to take into account my wearing hearing aids. Regular headsets don't work well with hearing aids, so this made my search even more difficult. When I began my search, I didn't know that Shokz had a headset with a microphone, it didn't take me long to find out they did. At first I was a little hesitant to drop $200 dollars on them not knowing how they would perform for my work needs, but I eventually gave in when my Jabra headset refused to hold a charge for more than an hour. 2 days later they arrived. I immediately tested these with my PC. I found they have a decent quality sound, same as the OpenRun. Let me point out that these are in no way comparable to any high end, audiophile quality headphones. The sound is good, but if you are a music snob, these aren't for you. The highs and lows are very good, but I find the mid range a little muddy. They are still good enough to stream music while working or working out, but they do not compare to the sound of any high end headphones or speakers. Several reviewers found the lows uncomfortable. Yes, certain sounds in the low frequencies will cause an uncomfortable feeling where these meet your head. This was most evident when receiving a call, the ring tone sometimes is almost painful. This is the one point that I dislike about them, they have a default ring tone that I have yet to figure out how to change, it's Wagner's Ride of the Valkyries. Now I like this tune as much as anyone, but when your entire skull vibrates, you are very quick to answer that call. I'd love to be able to change to a less intense tune as well as find a way to adjust it's volume. I could handle the tune if the volume were a bit lower, but the only way I have found to do that is to turn the headset volume down, but then hearing well on some calls becomes difficult. So overall I would say the quality of the product seems excellent, they are very comfortable, they work well with hearing aids, and the sound quality is very good. Again, not audiophile quality, but still very good for the average person. They beat out earbuds and most work quality, closed headphones in all of these areas. 9 out of 10, would buy again and have already recommended these to several of my coworkers who also have hearing aids.

Exactly what I asked for
I bought these for work. I'm in a private office with a door that can close and am required to be on a variety of calls every day from Teams, Zoom, Google Meet, and others. I have worn and tried a wide variety of headphones in the past, and these are exactly what I was looking for. Pros: - Comfortable to wear for 8+ hours a day. So comfortable I forget I have it on. - Good noise cancelling Mic, and generally good quality - Good charge (I put it on the charger when I leave work, and take it off when I put it on in the morning) - It reconnects if I walk out of range to get to the break room or to make copies, though I haven't timed to find out how long I have to be out of range, it hasn't been an issue so I haven't noticed. - Can clearly hear everything around me and can actually put in earbuds for my music without heading the Shokz off. - Beautiful sound quality. Easily the best I've ever had for voices and phone calls. The slight buzz I felt when first using them either isn't here, or I don't notice the vibration anymore. (I want to get a personal set and try out music with it) Cons: - When a call comes in, sometimes it's too loud. This is a settings issue I just have not invested the time into figuring out. The call in volume is not the same as the talk volume by default. - If you are looking for noise cancelling for you, so you cannot hear the world around you, that is not this headset. You can hear everything going on around in your space as clearly as you hear the sound coming in through the headset. So, if your coworker talks a lot, you'll hear everything they're saying.

Poor quality and longevity, terrible customer service experience with Shokz
I'd stay away from this product from Shokz, but also from Shokz as a company after some hard lessons learned. I purchased this headset in October 2024 and have been working with Shokz customer service as recently as today. Let me start by saying this is not my first Shokz product. As a family, we have used other Shokz products and really enjoy the ability to be able to hear traffic while out walking, kids while working in the house, etc. while listening to music or podcasts. I decided to splurge on the OpenComm2 for work since I spend most of my day on calls and was looking for a more comfortable solution and one where I could hear what was going on around me. Right away I was impressed. Bone conduction won't blow you away for musical sound quality, but for being on calls all day, the audio was extremely crisp and clear. Recipients also reported that the mic clarity was excellent and the sound cancellation was outstanding. I was a happy customer. 3-4 months in, the mic started to go. Call recipients were mentioning that the mic would cut out for a few seconds at a time or I'd lose it all together on a call. I did some research online and found two troubling things: 1) The suggested process to fix the mic is to hard reset the headset, which is what Shokz support recommends you do, and didn't work for me even with multiple attempts, and 2) There are a ton of people out there that have the same headset and have microphone problems at the 3-6 month mark. I filed a warranty claim with Shokz. The warranty process was not great. Their warranty website page is extremely buggy (on purpose?) and took a few attempts to get the claim submitted. A few days later, someone reached out and mentioned they would ship out a replacement unit and they didn't want the original back. Six weeks later I received the replacement. I had purchased a different headset in the meantime since I still needed one for work and it was obvious the Shokz process wasn't going to move quickly. When the new headset arrived, I tried it right away and the microphone was dead on arrival. Not only that, the boom was very loose compared to the original. I contacted customer service again and they again suggested a headset hard reset. They did not want the unit back. They suggested instead of the bluetooth model, I try a USB model instead for the next replacement. In the meantime I'd been researching online and just seeing tons of reports of people having the same issue I was having. I also noticed a "2025 Update" model. I inquired about that model to the customer service rep and they mentioned there were two primary updates: the charging cable and the robustness and quality of the microphone. I inquired as to why they didn't send me or even suggest the updated model if they knew I was having mic issues with both and they avoided answering the question- my guess is they are trying to offload old inventory if the 2025 version indeed does have improvements to the microphone. In general, Shokz customer service avoids answering any of your questions, tries to push you on their ideas, and is not timely in providing responses. Another fun detail, and this is in the warranty information included in the package, is that replacement units carry a warranty claim that starts on the original purchase date of the first unit. One detail they did explain that was if I did indeed go with the 2025 model, I would forfeit the first 6-7 months of the warranty period since it was replacing a unit I purchased in 2024. To me, that's a big deal when they make the process so difficult and spread out (takes days for responses from them and weeks for shipping) and speaks volumes about what little faith they have in their product. There are also some artificial "limitations" as far as how they can help if you buy the product on Amazon instead of through Shokz directly. Moving forward, our household will not be buying any additional Shokz products. I made a $160 mistake and I hope I can persuade you not to make the same one. If you are determined to have bone conduction, get headphones instead of a headset. If you're set on a headset, make sure you get the 2025 updated model and verify when you receive the product. I also would not recommend this if you rely on your headset daily for work. Hope this experience was helpful to someone and helps prevent someone future frustration.

Intolerable vibration after first week
I gave this five stars until, a week later, it started to frequently vibrate against my temples on louder sounds. The vibration tickles and is uncomfortable. I can fix it by shifting it around my head a bit but it keeps coming back regularly. I think that over time, this headset grips your temples less tightly and that leads to the vibration. It may be that if I didn't lean my head back against a pillow, they would grip more tightly. I'm returning them and getting a traditional overhead, cupped headset and I plan to drill holes in the cups to allow sound in from the outside world. Original review: I wanted a headset that didn't block outside sound and this fits the bill. There are miraculously few choices in this department. I wasn't sure if "bone conduction" would sound or feel weird but it mostly seems like there are just little speakers near my ears. Sometimes I can feel a slight vibration when the headset gets pulled slightly away from the skin. I bought a cheap bluetooth version of this headset originally and no matter how I shifted it, it would put painful pressure on my ears. I also found it hard to get my hair out of the way to get it over my ears, the arms of my glasses would get in the way so it wouldn't sit properly, and when I lay my head back on a pillow it would shift around a lot and feel loose. SHOKZ somehow solves all these problems even though it looks almost the same as the cheap version. It does shift a little when laid on a pillow but it doesn't move too much. I don't know why but it doesn't hit my glasses or catch my hair in a way I can't easily sweep it out of the way. It did hurt my ears a bit at first until I realized it's supposed to be worn with the pads pressed just in front of the ears. Too far forward and the sound becomes faint, and too far back and it presses painfully on ear cartilage. But when worn properly, it's comfortable. Unfortunately, when pressed against a pillow, it can loosen the pads against my temples enough that some sounds make it vibrate which feels weird and kind of tickles, so that's annoying. I have to keep adjusting the position to get rid of that effect after I move my head too much. I was a bit annoyed to find it comes with a little proprietary wireless adapter to take up another USB port, but it does provide some advantages. Even when the headset is off, it shows up as a sound device, unlike bluetooth devices that disappear when not connected. It shows up as a single device instead of a headphones (sound only) and a headset (with mic) which my bluetooth headset shows up as. Possibly because of this, my bluetooth headset would occasionally switch to audio-only in Discord until I switched the mic input between the two devices and back again. I didn't notice before I purchased, but there is also an OpenComm https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09CGYBZVG headset that's bluetooth without the proprietary wireless device that's a lot cheaper. Wish I'd gotten that instead. But a nice thing about the proprietary wireless is the headset will background connect to my phone via bluetooth and ring when there's a call, muting the PC and letting me take the call if I press a button on the left of the headset. Pretty cool. I'm not too excited that the headset uses a custom charger instead of USB-C because if it breaks I'll probably be paying a lot for a new wire, but the charger is magnetic so it's quick to connect and disconnect. Same with the proprietary PC wireless device, but I could probably connect it to PC via bluetooth if necessary. I feel like $200 is overpriced for a headset but the quality seems good with no thin wires or other parts that feel easy to break. I'm not picky about audio quality but music and voice sound good to me. People say I sound good on the boom mic. Overall, I'm happy to have finally found a headset that works for me.
