Perfect fit

Bought this item because the GE Opal Ice Maker we have did not come with it. We have a whole house filtration system but when using the filters in the ice maker it kept acting like the filters plugged. This makes no sense as our water is clean. So I bought the screens and am currently only using the screen and no filter. Up to this point the ice maker is working great.

This filter for the Opal ice maker is decent, though the quality isn’t as good as the original one I purchased. It’s easy to install and does a good job of maintaining water flow while keeping particles out of the ice maker. However, I expect to replace it more often than the original, which is a bit disappointing. That said, if it helps keep the ice cleaner, it’s still worth using.
