Haven't really put it through its pace yet for wind, but here is S. Florida a hat is necessary but always seems to be more heat to wear. This should eliminate that problem while giving maximum sun coverage. Seems designed Ok with the exception of the size of the headband which is small, child size, I have a small size head and still added a couple inches of elastic to make it more comfortable.

We used these in Hawaii. We did a lot of hiking and picture taking. It would just rain off and on and you never knew when you needed protection. These worked perfectly to keep our hands free and kept us dry. These are easy to store when you don't need them. So much easier than an umbrella. We didn't use these in windy situations, but they seem to be sturdy enough for significant wind.

Fun for hat day at school

I bought these for me and my three kids for a themed party. The kids are all under 10 and the band fit all of our heads. It slipped easily on hair, but the kids were constantly moving. The spokes came out and were pretty sharp but again...kids. This was the only time we used these so I don't have any long term use feedback.

I used these in my chicken run hanging from the bird netting.

I have been looking for these hats for years. They keep the sun off my face & neck when mowing. I bought 4 so I will use one when I walk & I keep one in my care if needed. They are a tight fit around my head but if it is windy out, they will not stay on your head.

I live in Arizona and I use a walker to walk to the stores in my neighborhood! The hat is a necessity for me. The use of the hat in temperatures in three digit heat usually like 100-125 it helps to give me hands free shade. That way I can keep both hands on the walker. Any one who has to endure heat should purchase the umbrella hat. Most of them umbrella hats are cheaply made. So you have to order multiples to ensure you will be wearing the hat for the entire summer.

Fun and durable. We wear these in the pool and have had them for 2 months.

Bought as a gag gift for a golf trip. When it rained, my whole group wanted one!
