Works great for a Rockwell 3 phase drill press
It does what ist supposed to do. Just realize not the same quality as a rotary phase converter. (uneven volatage across the phases) But if you have a very light use item - like a drill press, I think its ok, which is what I did about 6-9 month ago. I added an additinal 220 breaker on the input that was 1.5X the amps this required. I was confused at first on the labeling of the wiring (L and N, if I recall correctly), but just realize this needs 2 phase input, so both hot lines from your 220 V are required (red and black). Your neutral line is not used with this. Also, I recall some reviews saying there was no output when staticly cheked with a volt meter, but I saw some foreign product demonostration video which stated that was normal behavior, and I think the manual said the same thing. Hopefully this clears some things up.

Don’t buy this unit
As so, many others have stated this is not a true three phase converter. It has some weird function where it burned up one of my phases in a very expensive motor now having to pay a lot of money to have it rewound and Amazon won’t stand behind it and been fighting with the manufacturer for over a month. Looks like it just turns out to be a boat anchor.

Bad Design
It only lasted a month. The center tap is way out of range. Tried switching wires in all possible combinations, but the center tap stayed the same voltage. My Motor got so hot that it tripped the breaker with no load. Tried another brand. but the same thing. Don't waste your money and buy a rotary phase converter. They cost twenty times the price, but they won't burn your motor out.

Two different VFD failed so I almost wrote this off...
Running a hydraulic pump didn't require variable speed, I was just trying to get three phase power. After two failed to spin the motor I was skeptical but it's running well now at 60Hz. Wired in a motor starter (relay) for push button control and overload protection. Start up current is a doozy (with a hydraulic pump anyway) so don't get cheap with your wire. Go heavy, and unlike the VFD, this thing accepts appropriate size lugs. Fingers crossed for longevity. Another bonus is not standing around tweaking parameters for infinitely long time periods while abusing your motor.

Buyer beware the details.
This is not a true Phase converter. It will provide 3 phase at start up but the third leg drops off a few seconds after motor start. It works for resistance field motors but will trip the breaker on induction field motors. this was not specified in any instructions or literature had to call vevor support to get that information. For the price you're better off with a Variable Frequency drive than you are with this "digital phase shifter"
