I really like this gem
This product makes my traveling a lot easier. Especially in places where I don't trust tea makers in hotel rooms. I have used this while traveling to the Bahamas hotels for late-night hot water needs, for noodle boiling, and for boiled eggs. Mostly for the hot water function, though, which heats up really fast. When I say it's hot, I mean it gets hot. I love this product and love that it travels well through airports and in my luggage. I love the lid feature for covering and the button function for warm features, tea, eggs, and other things. I love the handle, which pops out, and the entire pop-up feature of this product. I can just clean it and close it back down when it's done. The only thing is I make sure to clean it right after use to keep it dry and to not ruin the bottom with calcium deposits I try to use bottled water instead. So far, that has worked just fine. Overall, pretty good produt no leaks, just a good product to use.

Perfect for all travels and at work!
I have bought two of the HYTRIC travel kettles so far. I gave the first one to my Sister so I bought another one for me. I have had it for over a year and I use it for travels here and abroad and it’s still going strong! I love, love it!! I can boil water for tea, boil eggs, and it’s easy to use. The size is perfect and it collapses so very convenient for travel. Just make sure that when traveling abroad, you pack it in the Checked Luggage! Will definitely buy again! Thank you HYTRIC ♥️

Works great in my greenhouse
This heats quickly and is great for using in my greenhouse to heat water to work on the fittings for my drip system. Anyone who is frequently piecing together dripline systems knows how much easier it is if you have warm water. I plug this in, within minutes I have boiling water and my drip lines go together quickly. The numbers are only in Celcius would be my only complaint, but it is pretty easy to figure out--even if you don't know C temps!

Great travel product
I like to take long road trips and sometimes that means staying in hotels out in the middle of nowhere. This kettle was small and easy to pack and allowed me to make really delicious coffee in my hotel rooms and not have to deal with what may have been in the lobby! The device was quick to heat up and once it hit temperature it automatically shut off so as to not keep running while plugged in at the hotel. Great little kettle that’s awesome for any road trips or hotel stays!

Only Centigrade Temp. Display
As I am an American citizen, having grown up using inches, feet, yards, and miles for measurement of distance, I also grew up using Fahrenheit to measure degrees of temperature. As a current 74 years "Old-fart", I still prefer Fahrenheit. I tried to adapt to converting centigrade to fahrenheit with this device, but I got tired of the headache. I have to say that the device worked flawlessly for me, and the only reason I returned it for replacement of a different model is only because of the readout being in only centigrade. Yes, that's a pretty weak reason, but I just can't get used to trying to think of how much Fahrenheit I'm looking at when looking at a Centigrade readout. I KNOW boiling water is 100° C, and I KNOW ice is 0° C, but the only other for sure knowledge I have regarding Celsius versus Fahrenheit is 28° C is equal to 68° F. I know this because that seems to be the desired temperature for developing film and paper, at least that was the norm back in the '80s and nineties when I was heavily into photography and did my own processing in my own dark room... lol. However, other than boiling and freezing and 20° C, it truly is a pain in the head for me to try to figure out say what 26.7° C is_ which is 80° f. As mentioned above, other than the Centigrade readout thing, I found this to be a very nice collapsible hot pot, or whatever you want to call it. And I think it's one of the smallest collapse of all the other brands out there, but I may be wrong about that. I would highly recommend this item to anyone looking for a very small and convenient way of carrying a device that will boil water for them. I would recommend it for family and friends, as long as they don't mind the Centigrade readout.

This Is My Daily Driver
I use this electric kettle about 3-5 times a day at work for the last 6 months, and it's been an amazing investment. Pros: - Temperature Thermometer is accurate and unlike many pots I've had claiming this feature, this one will actively drop in temp if you add cool water to the reservoir. - Rapid boiling for a kettle; this is partly due to its smaller size, - No ridges like other collapsible travel kettles. Smooth walls make for easy cleanup and the material seems thicker than the accordion versions I've tested. - Keep warm feature keeps the water above 60°C for a few hours, so if you need to boil quickly (say right before a meeting), it'll do it in half the time. - Other features like delay start and tea will control when and how long the device turns on. For example boil egg will keep the water boiling for a set period of time. Because of the timer and delay start features there's a lot of ways to control this kettle beyond many similarly priced versions. Cons: - Handle: The snap for the handle needs to be pressed firmly and requires you to adjust your grip. When you pour, you cannot put your hand on it because it's a press release, and since it's at the top of the kettle I almost released mine the first time I picked it up. However the adjustment was easy for me to make and has had no further issues. - Electrical cord location: The cord is behind the control panel on the back, meaning it's on the side when you are gripping it by the handle. I know why this was part of the design (so the handle could fold seamlessly) but I kinda wish the handle was a turn type instead, because when you cleanup the pot, you are holding by the handle and trying to keep both the control panel and the power outlet clear. I've ended up holding the kettle by the base to clean as the control. Moots: - Touch interface. Some people will like it, some people won't. I personally like it despite the few times it doesn't register, because I hate when I've had button ones that require me to hold the unit just to press down. I'd rather the one handed operation any day. - C° Display: I personally prefer Celsius because it's the temperature system based on water boiling, and it's more accurate for teas and coffee. However since so many items in the US list F°, it is sometimes a pain to translate these temps. I don't mind figuring this out myself as this pot is designed for countries using the metric system. Spout: The water pour is precise, but it's sensitive because it's spout is short. This because it's so compact and I've have this with other kettles that are designed with short spouts. This means you have to pour slowly and press on the lid to create a tight seal. If you pour too fast, the water shoots a good 3-5 inches away from the spout, depending on the amount and heat of the water. It's predicable, but something that takes time to learn.

works well
this is so cute and love the fact that it is portable. I have hard boiled eggs and heated water and heated tea in it. I was impressed with everything. Easy to clean. Good quality. water gets hot.

Low wattage, low quality alloy, GREAT egg cooker, many features.
This has a 600 watt heating element versus a 1000 to 1500 watt for other kettles. It can take up to 5 minutes to boil water. If you're using for camping and going through an inverter, this may be an advantage as the power requirements are smaller. The water is less likely to violently boil over as well. If you're impatient and can't wait to get to that first cup of coffee, 5 minutes can seem like an eternity. You can, of course, use a smaller quantity of water to speed the process along too. Just something to be aware of. One of my bigger complaints is that the top is not hinged, and there really is no way to secure it. In my opinion, this is downright dangerous. The manufacturer needs to look into a better way to secure the top. It's very easy if you're trying to use 100 percent of the water for the top to just fall off, and then a flood of hot water comes pouring out of it all over the counter and possibly on your hands. Seems like a lawsuit waiting to happen. A twist to lock, a magnetic lock or simply a hinge would be three methods that would work better. The manufacturer needs to remedy this issue. There is a short power cord and you cannot collapse the unit without removing it. This also means when do you want to fill the unit you have to unplug it. I guess I can see a little bit of a safety factor here and that you can't put this underneath the sink while it's still plugged in. Perhaps this was the reasoning of the manufacturer in making such a short cord? I don't know, but a magnetic base I think would be better. When you pick this up to pour the water out you also have to deal with this short cord. It doesn't seem particularly well designed. This uses a computer style power cord so you can buy a longer one as a workaround. These types of power cords are very common, and you may already have one in your house. I've used this a few times to boil some eggs and have to say this is one of my more favorite features. After you toggle to the egg icon, you then use the furthermost left button and you can adjust the time. You're putting your eggs in the water before you start this, so if you go with a standard 10 minutes, you will overcook. Dropping it down to 9 minutes worked out perfectly in my case, but if you want a slightly softer interior, it's nice to have this adjustment feature. I've not used the noodle or the Tea setting, but having these features in general is nicer than just a standard kettle that heats only. I believe there is a keep warm feature as well. I can see this being quite useful if you're having more than one cup of coffee or you just want some water available to top off your Tea, whatever. Again, most other kettles don't have these features at all. This is a 5-star feature to me. Update after one year's worth of use. I don't use this to boil water as I think there are much better options with higher wattage, but I do love this to make boiled eggs. I don't have to sit there and watch a clock or wait for the water to boil to add my eggs or whatever. You deposit a couple of eggs and turn it on and it beeps at you when it's done and it's quite loud. It also shuts the power off, so nice If you can't get two things immediately, although you'll probably overcook your eggs this way. At least it turns off. I find it the perfect size to cook a couple of eggs, and I'll generally start it just before I jump in the shower and when I get out it's just about ready. Perfect for camping and so forth. The interior seems more like a aluminum than stainless steel. After just a couple of uses it was already etched. The manufacturer needs to go with a higher quality stainless steel material. I did go back and read the specifications and it states this is a 302 stainless steel, but for whatever reason after the first use it showed etching. Not a very high quality alloy, which is unfortunately pretty typical of Chinese made products. I have not noticed any white residue on the interior mentioned in other reviews, but to be honest I wasn't paying that close of attention, so will look at that more closely. I can say I've noticed etching or a white residue on the metal portion that is supposed to be stainless. I don't think anyone wants to be ingesting some unknown white residue. In summary, these are the features I think the manufacturer needs to look at and also the consumer needs to consider: 1: Bumping up the heating element to an 800 or 1000 watt would be much better. 2: A way to secure the top to avoid it falling off while pouring boiling hot water should be a priority. This is dangerous, and somebody's going to get hurt. 3 A magnetic base combined with a slightly longer cord I think, would be a huge improvement. 4: An improved alloy for the interior, such as 18/8 stainless steel, would be a huge improvement. (This is listed as stainless but it's a pretty cheap version and it etches quite easily). 5: Since this is sold in the United States, it would also be nice to have a Fahrenheit setting as opposed to just the Celsius. I don't think that would be all that difficult to program into the microprocessor chip, considering the other features of the kettle.
