In my opinion, her first book Beeswax Alchemy is fabulous for learning the basics and problem-solving methods for candle making. That book also goes into detail on salve and lip balm making etc., and is perfect for the beginner or experienced beekeeper. There are many recipes/products to make. This book, Beehive Alchemy, I think is best for someone with a bit of knowledge or experience and someone looking for more products/recipes that they can make. It's not as detailed as her first book but it contains more information and recipes. I was very happy with the section covering propolis as well as products for wood such as furniture polish, cutting board conditioner, etc. Incense making, wow, that was unexpected. The book also covers tealights, pillar candles, birthday candles, wax wraps, crayons, art crafts such as Encaustic art using beeswax and recipes to cook/bake using honey and beeswax. I was most interested in the fermentation section which went beyond mead-making to cover some more healthy probiotic fermented drinks that use honey--those I'm going to be trying very soon. Buy both books if you can--you won't regret it. I highly recommend this author.

I love this book. I made the propolis toothpaste and my teeth have never felt so clean. Great recipes, easy to understand, simple to make.
