Helen’s Asian Kitchen Bamboo Stir Fry Spatula and Cooking Utensil, 13-Inch

Many years ago my mother gave me a non-stick wok set. The wok didn't last long (couldn't take the high heat), but the two spatulas one solid, one slotted have been in use ever since. I used (and still do) them for everyday cooking as well as stir frying. They have been my go-to mixing and stirring tools. The shape is unique and perfect for scraping both pan corners (the "square" corner), and bowl bottoms/sides (the rounded corner). On a whim to fill out the new $35 free shipping requirement I ordered this item. It was in effect free. After using it month, I would order it on its own and pay the shipping if someone stole it. It is bigger than my original spatula and works beautifully. I have had no splintering, and is stronger than some of my steel commercial spoons for heavy batter or stews. Turned vertically in the body cavity, I used it along with a carving fork for stability, to transfer a hot 17 lb. turkey for Thanksgiving. And then beat mashed potatoes into submission with it. What else can I say: I Love It. And it is safe for non-stick.

I am a big fan of wooden spatulas to avoid scratching my non-stick pans. For good measure, they are also nice to not scratch my stainless steel, however, it is not necessary to buy wood utensils for stainless steel. My previous wood spatulas were getting worn from me hitting food off them. I notice with this spatula, there is more durability, however, it is not needed for these to be durable because the edges of the head can be scraped against the top of the frying pan to remove food debris. The weight is awesome and it feels great and easy to maneuver in my hand. The hole in the back can be used to hang the spatula if I would like to do this and the price with free shipping is not egregious. The flatter shape and the wood is strong enough to soak a few moments in water for easy cleaning. I definitely would recommend this product.

These are great bamboo utensils! I got both the solid and slotted spatulas as well as the rice paddle. They are slim and lightweight, and well shaped. I like the slight angles on the spatulas. The rice paddle is a bit smaller than my old plastic one but still works great. I noticed a few defects in the finish of two of the pieces (a dried drip in the coating, whatever it is) - so these are definitely coated with something. Still, they're not defects that affect performance in any way. At this price, these are a great deal.

I've bought two or three of this same thing now (one got stolen, one got given away) and none of them were exactly the same shape but they all did an admirable job on a flat bottomed carbon steel wok.

I use it everyday. Works great for scraping out rice in a rice cooker. Bamboo is better than wood. Cleaner, safer, and good at not harbouring bacteria.

Perfect for our ceramic pan.

Good quality spatula

I have a similar style left-handed version of this spatula which I love so I went ahead and bought this one. This is a great type of spatula for scraping up browned bits of food while you're cooking and it can get into the edges of your pot easily. At the same time, it has the rounded side which is perfect for bowls or pans. The quality seems very high, especially for the price. There's no splintering and it cleans up easily!

I am very happy with this excellent product. I bought both a right handed one and a left handed one, ideal for tossing and mixing when cooking.

Got wood? Is a question I used to ask myself daily when in the kitchen, now I certainly have and it's pure bamboo baby! This wooden spoon has exceeded every expectation of mine it was delivered neatly and now is placed amongst my kitchen spoon collection.
